    Last 3 games..............

Lost to Houston 3-1 getting only 2 hits
    Lost to Angels 4-1
Lost to Angels 2-1 getting only 2 hits again.

    This offense is a joke.

What a gutless sham of a ball club.

Positives in a close loss game:

Nova is cruising with His game, and looks more than healthy and ready to return full time, IMO. A very nice game pitched by Nova, which He easily could of won, with but 3 runs Support. Ivan threw 85 Pitches, 57 for Strikes..........

With 8 Hits given up by Nova, only 2 hits of the 8 wound up as: - 2 Earned Runs total, both (Solo HR's from Pujols and Aybar). No unearned runs, 5.1 IP with 7 K's, 2 BB's. Nova seemed to have no problem getting into a few jams, better yet- He definitely had NO problem getting out of them, stranding 11 Left On Base, with 9 RISP.......One easy barometer of any Pitcher's Health and game, can He work out of jams with men on base...? Not a problem at all, as all 9 of the 11 went No-Where.........unlike Nova to give up 2 HR's in a game tho'......

Overall a damn fine Pitching performance by Nova, with Warren cleaning up with no runs period, 2.2 IP, with 1 BB and 2 K's........40 Pitches, with 25 for Strikes....

Nova was the victim of anemic silent bats, a round of Geritol for all, even the youngsters, but that shit hasn't been on RX shelves for how many decades Rick...? (test fire to see if Rick is reading, and I wouldn't blame him if he weren't, just want to know, how much I can dump on Rick, before he notices, the hot foot syndrome).......Fire in the Hole.......

    Warren: 2.2 IP, 1 Hit, 1 BB, 2 K's, and O Runs.......Warren threw 40 Pitches, 25 for Strikes......

Pujols hits his 1,132 XBH, to bump Tris Speaker out of 13th place on the all time list. Next stop Ty Cobb at 1, 136, / Yaz @ 1, 157 / F. Robinson 1,186 / Gehrig 1, 190, and both Griffey Jr. and Rafael "I have never taken doh's tings" Palmeiro at 1, 192, the last 2 tied for 7th place all time.....

    http://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/XBH_career.shtml

Overall ya'll out on the East Coast, in God's Country, didn't miss much......

Good Night and Good Day; that's the way it is/was, and I'm sticking to it........!!!

35 years old & Pujols is on pace for a career high 50 HRs. Are these guys still being tested?

More like Kamikaze Zero Fighters, cuz if you miss your mark your fkd, dead.........
If you hit your mark, your opponents offense and defense may be sunk, but yer still fkd dead.......

In cases like those, one just might as well put the gun to the head and pull the trigger before even taking off........

Unlike WWII in MLB every day is a New Morning, or chance to vindicate oneself and team..........in other words my analogies, don't work or apply.....!

Albert is having a solid year, has more RBI's and HR's than Trout, while Trout leads Albert and a helluva lot more hitters, with OBP%, Total Bases, Hits, XBH's, BB's, Runs, et al......The 2 sure will never be either M&M boys or the NL Giants M&M boys of yore' but together they make one helluva dynamic duo...........

Holy flying donuts Batman, yeah go try an fk a rolling one while yer at it Boy Wonder.......

Honestly if I were a betting man I'd say that Girardi goes before Cashman does.

...yeah, we've been talking about that possibility for awhile...the Cashman evidently has some pictures of Hal in a hotel room with a goat...so Girardi will be first to be replaced...but but but with who? ...maybe the expert can tell us. :biglaugh:

Not even going to get upset anymore. There's a few real teams in the league this year like St. Louis and Kansas City. Even Houston has a nice little young fiesty club. The rest are just mediocre and it's going to be the same up and down story for the second half of the season as well.

The Dodgers are spending $300 million to be barely fending off the Giants in the NL West and if I was to bet on it we have a pretty good idea how that's going to turn out.

The Yanks swept KC at YS....KC doesn't have a single hitter which strikes fear in pitchers with the legitimate consistent threat of hitting one into the seats.
Are they a GOOD team? YES

Do they have scary SP on the whole? Nope.

Lets not get crazy....hopefully Ellsbury returns fairly soon and the Yankee offense begins to roll along.

I'll take my chances playing the KC ROYALS in a playoff series.
    No problemo..being 'em on.

They're 14 games above .500 and have allowed the least amount of runs in the AL and only a few NL teams have allowed less. They're doing pretty darn good.

KC is currently 21- 20 vs teams with a winning record.

I understand this W-L record may be different than when the actual games were played.

Yes indeed KC IS a good team....they don't scare anyone....not many teams- imo - are checking the schedule fearful and apprehensive at the thought of playing the KC Royals.

No doubt they ARE solid pennant contenders....one of the "best" of a mediocre lot which we call parity.

... if the Royals don't scare anyone, the Yanx definitely don't.
