As I've said in the past, I'm not a Girardi fan but to blame him for EVERYTHING that goes wrong with this team is just ridiculous.
...6-13 vs the Jays is the real back breaker for this season. ...to put it into perspective, if the Yanx had even managed to go 9-10 vs Toronto, instead of being 3 1/2 games out of first place, the Yanx would be leading the division by 2 1/2 games. ...hard pill to swallow.
Girardi makes 5 million dollars a year, he puts on the uniform like everyone else and has a responsibility like everyone else, and that is to oversee everything that goes on with a player , how the player executes during practice, conditioning of a player, attitude, approach to the game, a good teammate... I believe a good coach stays on top of all of these things cause what you do in practice, you will do in games, fundamentals go along way when you're not the best. If you feel this is a sound team, and that everything these players do on the field is to the best of their ability and do whatever it takes to keep themselves in the game that's wonderful, I don't ! BTW, did anybody hear Chez Palmentari on the fan yesterday in honor of yogi , in reference to all the days off these players get, 'what's a day off yogi replied , I caught a double header!!!

I'm really not expecting an in depth logical answer but just for the hell of it Pasta, if you were Hal Stienbrenner what would you do to improve this team? Who would you replace Girardi with & how would you go about in improving the over all performance of this team? I'll wait.
Pasta enough already. This is not little league or high school. They play 162 games with few off days. Your talking like these guys have after school practice. They have a lot of veterans with bad contracts simply not performing. You can't somehow blame that on Girardi but then have no explanation for what a Greg Bird has done or the emergence of Didi Gregorius. Cashman hs currently constructed a poor overall roster. It's a concept you need to grasp and just get over already. The other fact is that Toronto is clearly the better team with a much better overall roster. You fill a roster with a bunch of .250 hitters or worse and this is what you get. It's quite easy to see the difference when you play Toronto and have to get through Donaldson, Bautista and Encarnacion four times a game compared to what the Yankees are able to put up there. You have a guy in Gardner who has trouble hitting his weight in second halves of seasons, Headley is a singles hitter and they allowed an offensive black hole at second base for pretty much the entire season. Then throw in Ellsbury and Arod pretty much collapsing while Toronto surged this is what we get with the Yankees.
..."personal attack"?....lmao...really?...where? ...evidently, considering your answer, your displeasure should be directed at the Steins on a daily basis instead of spewing daily Girardi rants.
Once again, cashman constructed the best that was available to him with an understanding that it had to be signed off by ownership , something you need to grasp! And enough with who is the better team, it's abundantly clear it's the jays , and it's not just the players , it's management!
That's so completely ridiculous it's hard to even know how to respond. Some of the bad contracts like Headley have nothing to do with the best available to Cashman. It has to do with piss poor talent evaluation. They had Solarte and decided to send him and a minor league pitcher to San Diego for Headley. The result became a bad contract to Headley and Solarte outperforming him in San Diego for a fraction of the price. Headley: .260 11 Hrs 61 RBIs 22 Errors Solarte: .275 13 Hrs 61 RBIs 6 Errors
The fact also is that a child would know better than the crap Cashman does. What grade do children learn about averages or mean? The hope and a prayer crap that involves wishing upon hope that a player is going to repeat a career year without looking at the five years or so all around that year is amateur hour. It's obviously more likely said player will perform to his overall body of work and not what he did in 2011 when god knows what was going on.
Oy ya yoy!!!!! The players that were available have to want to come here!!!!! Get it!!!!! They go to a team that has the best chance of winning right away, that's today's mentality, girardi hasn't done a thing with yanks since '09 and has had plenty to get there. sherzer price Tulo to name a few would be wearing the pinstripes if the boss was still around ...
Lol, sure that snake didn't get it's fangs into you, cause it was just 2 weeks ago he called you out for being immature at times, lol
...well, the Boss ain't around no more...try staying in the present. ...and the players that have come here, have come for the money, regardless of who the coach is.
At what a payroll of $300 million? If the team wasn't chock full of albatross contracts more maneuverability would certainly be possible.
...relevance?...but since you brought it up, I answered by saying that "we're all immature at times", so what?...what's your point? ...but if you truly think mess was right then, why don't you take stock in what he's said about you?
