Three homers from the Mets tonight. 4-1 and you might as well forget about this one. This team is done folks. No offense and nobody out of then pen you can trust outside of the big two.

It's a distinct possibility. The Mets are playing with the swagger this team sorely lacks.

And schreve comes thru adding gas to the fire. This bullpen outside of betances (who has been shaky lately) and miller totally sucks. After tonight joe can concentrate on getting whoever needs rest rest and throw some minor league starters out there to rest the overworked bullpen arms. Tanaka deserved a better fate tonight but tonights lineup was one of the worst yankee lineups I've ever seen.

It's a broken record at this point but for this team to do absolutely nothing at the trading deadline was disgraceful. Even a veteran arm for the pen would've been helpful.

Bumgarner IMO, has had a better year, considering he's had little support, on a team laden with injuries.......

Greinke's going for win #18. Consider his 9 No Decisions, when the Bums could buy a run or 2. When Zack threw his 1 hitter thru 8 IP, was about the time, those assclown Bums, came back to life for Greinke.....Give Zack half those no decisions, and he'd easily have 21 Wins by now........just saying.......

Now Bumgarner, (who I do admire, regardless of the ribbings, I give ya' Rick) has like Greinke 29 starts, with 4 no decisions, give Madison wins for half his no decision, and he'd still come out on top of Greinke with 22 Wins. Either way both are having damn fine years, considering lack of run support......

You called it the other day, Jake Arrieta, IMO will win the Cy Young-NL.........if this trend continues....

...there were a few options that would have helped and would not have hamstrung the Yanx contractually and would not have bankrupt the farm.

That's true. I am happy about them. Hopefully some other pieces will emerge from the minors as well but who knows.

Every team in contention made moves except the Yankees. Yes, some bigger than others but some just to reinforce.

It wasn't even worth getting excited about that ninth inning. I'm so tired of Gardner's act at this point. Nothing more than a glorified fourth outfielder.

It's really not shocking for a club that lives and dies by the homer. Yeah I guess if you get into the playoffs anything can happen but there's nothing that leads you to believe this team can make a run. Just a bunch of average hitters and a bad bullpen right now outside of the closers. Pretty much why you have an average .500 club the last 40+ games.
