Girardi lied. Does anybody in this organization tell the truth? Transparency is taking on a phony look!
Still looking for it Ron. I just don't see Michael lying about it and throwing Meredith under the bus. They are both Yes employees. They were talking about it at the end of his show again. A caller said that he thinks Girardi benched him because he got caught stealing the night before when it was tied 5-5 and as he was walking off the field he patted Pedroia on the butt. Now I didn't see that happen but Joe could of had a hair in his ass and Ellsbury made it public because he was pissed at Girardi. All I know the bottom line is Girardi did indeed lie about it.
Girardi lied & Curry backed him up, just ask Pasta, lets just go with that. Either that or the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.
...well, I don't see any reason why Girardi would lie about it....I mean, what's the motivation?....and why would Ellsbury have someone else call Meredith instead of himself?...I just don't see it. ...if all this did in fact happen it would seem to me that it would be sort of a big story and would be talked about...not saying it never happened but I would like some actual evidence and some actual quotes. ...I've listened to every one of Kay's podcasts of his show from the last 2 days and nothing about this was mentioned on any of them.
Both times he talked about it was the first 5 minutes of his show and the last 10 minutes so I don't know about his podcasts but it was something they didn't discuss for long. Ellsbury had someone call Meredith. I don't know who it is but supposedly asked her "Did you tape your segment before the game yet?" and she said yes I did and then this person told her that Jacoby wanted the public to know that he wanted to play & is 100% healthy. Who this person was was never mentioned.
^^^that's just it, I would think Ellsbury basically calling his coach a liar would be a big deal and big news, especially on the eve of the PS. ...and we're also assuming that the info Kay was supposedly given by Meredith was factual.
Ron if you can tomorrow watch the Batting Practice/Pregame show. I am positive one of those reporters will ask him that question. If he starts stuttering or says no comment then we will all know the truth.......... Girardi Gate indeed.
...I bet he won't even be asked...and if what Kay/Meredith supposedly said is all factual, I'm very surprised he has not been asked already...like I said, this would/should be a big deal...or at least the press would make it into one...you know how they are.
But being that the game was postponed who was going to question him about it and maybe he was questioned and did not comment on it. The only thing that I am surprised is that it didn't leak onto the Internet.
It was a part of Trashman and Hanks "Master-Plan"..........nothing more......! if you don't get publicity, drum it up, or make it up....??? lol.....~~
...the fact that it's not on the net is precisely why I'm questioning the whole thing...like I said, knowing what a bunch of jackals the media is, there's no way they would let this just die and a rainout certainly won't stop them...it will either be brought to the forefront because it's a big story or it will simply go away because there was nothing to it in the first place. ...this still does not explain why Ellsbury is still listed as "day to day" and that is on the internet. And like I pointed out from the beginning, I just don't see the motivation here. I mean why would Joe lie about something so trivial and conversely, why would Ellsbury go out of his way to essentially call his coach a liar?...it makes no sense. ...either Joe indeed did flat out lie or the info that Kay/Meredith were given and referred to is bogus...I guess we'll see.
