The ALDS start on my birthday. Told the squeeze I'd like her to give me a Gibson Hummingbird sunburst with a cut away. Would like to see the Yankees get to the ALDS and win game one.
Right now I'd bet on the Gibby over the Yankees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Certainly not going to bet the house on the Yanks' post season chances - however, it is what it is and getting a good game from Tanaka on Tuesday and a couple of long balls from the Yankee lineup could very well cast a whole different outlook.

If Tanaka brings the same lackluster fastball on Tuesday as he had in his last start....it'll probably get "late" very early vs Houston.

Very uncomfortable saying this but, (if) we win Tuesday... then all we need is one out of two in KC and it's ANYONE'S chance to advance to the ALCS... imho

I know, I know........you don't have to tell me, lmao.

I just consider this WC game a toss of the dice.
Just get the freekin thing over with and let's see if we have any more chips left to play with.

Yankees with the worst record of all the playoff teams over the last 2 months of the season & the only team playing under 500 in that time going against the worst road team in the AL. Should make for an interesting game. Hopefully guys like Ellsbury, McCann, Gardner & a few others can pull there heads out of there asses & earn there salary.

...as per usual...riding both sides of the fence...way to make a statement and way to make a stand. Been reading the same drivel since ST.

Thank god I didn't waste one minute of my time watching these whores. After the Giant game I put on Astros/Diamondbacks. Now that was an exciting Ballgame plus I new it was the only hope to get HFA. Checked the Yankees box score. Crapuano again huh??? What an embarrassing performance all around.

One game, season on the line... Keuchel on 3 days rest, Tanaka making his 2nd start since Sept 18 coming off a "mild" hammy pull and not pitching well in his last start.

I'm concerned about both SP - worried over Keuchel- he's a control pitcher who uses three pitches...might not be affected by the short rest and he specializes in going deep into games....but of course I surely hope his control does suffer on short rest and he hangs a few curveballs and changeups.

Tanaka, this guy does have balls and is a tough competitor....I just hope hope his fastball is crisp in order to set up his splitter.

Can we get that good Yankee Stadium feeling back with a couple of BIG hits and "good enough" pitching?

    GO YANKS!

They're facing a lefty 20 game winner they haven't touched all season long. Keuchel's line against the Yankees this season is 16 IP 9H 0ER 21Ks. It's hard to have any positives expectations especially when the lineup hasn't even been able to hit trash as of late.

You're the king of drivel...as per usual.
YOU were the standard bearing sky is falling sourpuss who had the Yanks in a coffin BEFORE the season began.

And YOU were the one who was beating his chest after the first two starts by Shane Greene this season anxious to show all of us how smart you and Dombrowski were.....

    I can read you like a book...and it's a boring book.

Go dry off- you're all washed up and the Yanks have already done better than YOU said they would.

Drivel? You put that in your grits every morning!

Evening up factor mess may be keuchel on 3 days rest which I don't believe he's done before. Bottom line imo is if we get the good tanaka we win and the bad tanaka its football and hockey season

Yep.....that seems to be your M.O.
You're not a big fan of those who don't march in lockstep with you.

By the way....you never gave you're preseason Yankee win-total when asked in the other thread......afraid to be wrong? Lol
Of course! You're Mr. Know-it-All .....who runs and hides when your scenario goes sour. It's only baseball.....grow a pair.

It must be hard for you trying to come off as the voice of reason while belittling those with different opinions.....
