Some keener perspective as we speak: CC's ERA 5.20 Boston's SPs ERA Mikey 6.91 Kelly 6.38 Buccholz 5.73 Masterson 5.18 Porcello (their ace lol) 4.30 Questions and comments welcomed......but please leave all bias in the closet.
Well, as I've said way back in ST, I'm going to give him at least the first couple of months of the season before I even consider taking the shovel out of the shed. . It has also been said, CC is a VERY wild card, he could implode into oblivion, or he could "figure it out" and be a positive difference maker in this SP rotation. We'll see where the chips fall one way or another, but I have a feeling it's going to take more than the first two months to find out....imho
First off, thanks for the insult. Secondly, there are a few OTHER "#3" starters who would have trouble holding a 5 run lead and holding their ERA close to 6.00 on a given night. Your sarcasm inadvertently helped keep things on an even keel in regards to CC and some of OUR opposition. Well said.
Insult? Oy....you're missing the humor reference. In the end, I was correct. Keeping his era below 6 did result in a win. Here's another comedy reference.. . Lighten up Francis.
...and?...is CC in any way considered to be an "ace"?...how about a #4 at best? ...would you care for another poll?
I hope I never see the day in this game where an ERA over 5 is acceptable. Of course I'm glad the Yankees won but the bottom line is once again CC was only able to pitch more then 6 innings before he fell apart. Its the same song over & over. Like I said, a #4 at best & unable to give a good 6+ innings on a regular basis.
and- Elle McPherson is an Aussie, but then alot of racks look alike, regardless of country of origin..........
I better clarify for Rick and Tote: a Rack is not the Points of a Deer-Buck's horns, rather its females, well, you know, breasts......ahhhhhh...!
