Nice game, good series, with better results than what we'd hoped. 3/4 from the team with the best record in baseball, now go beat the shit out of New York National!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mets possibly coming in with an 11 game winning streak. The bottom line though is feel good about the wins but this offense is grossly inconsistent. Too many guys under .200.

The pitching excelled this whole series. Great to see them win this series.
Can't believe it. Now to face the NLs best in the Mets. Who woulda thunk!

I don't think they're just NL best I think they're ML best. Looking forward to a great series.

BTW: in the match ups if anyone is curious, Sabathia gets Harvey in game two.

Yep, Miggy couldn't handle McCann's hard grounder which probably cost Detroit an inning ending DP as Detroit had to settle for just one out at first base and allowed the runner from 3rd to score.
Tough nuggies for him and Detroit, lol.

And Headley saved a run with a diving stop. Solid 3bman.

Ellsbury showed how he can beat you with his BASERUNNING ability /SB capabilities.
Yanks beat Detroit in every phase of the game over the 4 game series.

Quick snap shot- which team looks to be better from top to bottom.....SP,bullpen,lineup, overral team defense and the capacity to play small ball and team speed?

Just a thought. Long season.....long season.

It hasn't been as bad as it seems.
The team is scoring runs and they've done it by scoring at least 5 or more runs in 9 of their 16 games and have scored 4 runs in another two games.
Not so bad. Your going to have those games where you score 3 or less runs..having as few as possible is obviously the trick. Lol

Just hope the team stays reasonably healthy and they'll be doing just fine as the warmer weather comes. Imho
