You're right Cage, not very promising. In August........ Young is batting 111, & 0 for his last 18 A-rod is batting 151 & is 7 for his last 57 Ryan is batting 125 & is 3 for his last 24 Just doesn't seem fair.

Top of the 1st = 5 runs, 4 hits, 3 walks on 40 pitches. This is not what I was looking forward to. Maybe there's a Gilligans Island marathon on somewhere. I'm sure our powerful hot hitting lineup can get us back into this.
This team just has too many bummers and yet, is fighting for first place. A very strange ball club..........a very strange baseball season. No outstanding starting pitching (Eovaldi, the exception this year); hitting comes in batches and then someone stuffed the spigot. Few positive constancys. The negatives are threefold...... How the hell are they fighting for first place?
I'm glad you posted this, I recall the game itself, and loved how McCann got in Gomez's face, waiting for him in fact.......a true scrapper..... saw this video again, early last year around April in a one on one interview with Brian, who expressed his distaste for showboats. The 1st interview one on one, I saw with Brian in Pinstripes. McCann mentioned in that interview, how he had big shoes to fill, in memory of Munson, whom he idolized as any Catcher should, if their going to wear PS.....!

When have I ever thought the Yankees do not have a chance of winning a game after a first inning collapse? This team presents no comeback against an excellent pitcher. Now, think playoffs!......against excellent pitching. UGH!
