That was an awesome play. And of course the HOMER Michael Kay was quick to say, He may be in the running for MVP. If by in the running he means top 10-20 yeah that's possible.

...I'd think that Tex would have to get his BA up to .280 or so to even be considered for the MVP.

Can they win one game where it's not like pulling teeth? I guess you just take the win and run.

Yeah definitely 280 would bring him a lot closer.

    Ah sh!t.....those rotten Home Runs.
    Garshdarnit.

The Orioles hit two HRs tonight but got swept by Minnesota who hit six HRs in the three games including one walk off HR.

Toronto didn't hit a HR and lost tonight on a walk off HR.

Tampa Bay lost tonight and hit two HRs as the Royals beat them also hitting two HRs.

    I'm confused.

It'd be a treat to see Tex win another RBI crown, as well as bring the avg up into the .280 range, (or higher of course)....

CC battled through, but why did we take him out after only 88 pitches? What happened to Kazmir? Did Ellsbury actually go through a game without getting hurt?

And MY LORD THE BOTTOM 3 of the order...WTF Bobby Meachum and Dale Berra batting averages

Yeah Al, the Yankees hopes all seasons have basically rested on the shoulders of the top 5-6 in the lineup because after that its pretty much been 3 up & 3 down.

No doubt the Yanks would be that much better with better production from the bottom third but having the top 6 in the order doing the large portion of the heavy lifting isn't necessarily an unusual weakness for alot of teams.

And one of those three is on pace for 20 HRs and another (DiDi) has been a considerably better hitter than he was in the early going.
