Just tuned in to see more bad news, timing is everything, good for jays bad for us, players aren't doing schitt, so look for the skipper to get tossed
Top 5 0 for 11. sure could use some of those 90 runs. Last year the Yankees went into Texas at game 107 and got their asses kicked and the season drifted away. Looks like history may repeat itself. The pitching was OK, offense slumped like they did in the '12 ALCS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jays look to be the better team. Where do the Yankees hold an advantage over them right now? Certainly not in the lineup or starting pitching.
It's nothing short of an embarassment. They should be in that clubhouse and feel ashamed. They owe every paying fan for this series an apology.
Or......the "other" possiblity- on days when the Orioles and Jays are playing, if the Yanks win they are guaranteed of gaining ground on one of those teams. This was one of the "possibilities" omitted from a post.
Listened to players post game interviews on River Ave Blues they don't seem overly concerned. Tex called it a bump in the road. Some bump there Tex.
yep, more like a Hole in the Road so damn big a car would fall into it.... GOOSE EGGS, nothing but, this was a sickening series....Yanx bats fell silent, pretty damn much..........!!! While the Yanx have to face the Jays for a 3 gm series in Toronto but a week from now, followed by a 4 game series in the Bronx in the 2nd week of Sept, followed again by a 3 game series the 3rd week of Sept, in Toronto........Wish for the best, but prepare for the worst......!!! The AL East Pennant will be resolved b/t these two teams. Why could Trashman NOT pick up any player by the trade deadline.....even a rental like Mr. Price, would of been nice.....
...yup, it was a helluva "bump"...playing at home, the Yanx had a great opportunity to go up 9 games in the loss column and virtually wrap up the division...but they didn't even show up and went out with a whimper. They were completely outmatched this weekend. ...and needless to say, the Yanx "lost ground" to everyone this weekend.
Here's what I say to Tex and the rest................. The Jays came onto your home turf and showed you what it's like to be taken to the wood shed and stripped every bit of dignity you thought you owned. They left the bones and disMANTLEd anything resembling life. Way to go......have a turning point road trip. Your home stand sure sucked.
...I still can't get over Gardner getting hit in the head by a Yanx fan who threw back the Bautista HR ball...when it rains, it pours.
