Headley with the base running. Glad to see it and hopefully chapman can hold this lead

If chapman blows this one the team should kick his ass in the locker room

Chapman is proving to be obstinate on the mound. No excuse for his pitch selection. You can see he is
fighting whatever Sanchez is telling him. Chapman is telling his pitches. Finish the damn job!

Not a very effective finish by Chapman, glad to see that Russell Martin was the final out, never cared for that guy when he was a Yankee. Kudos to Tanaka for a nice game, In a rare moment Headley was the hitting guy tonight. My guy Torreyes was the hitting fuck up, three times he mad out with runners on but at least he got a couple of RBIs on his last appearance. I found Betances to be very lucky to escape without damage, dumb fuck needs to start getting and staying ahead in the counts.

To me, Betances seemed much more effective in the past when he threw mostly FBs and then once he was ahead in the count he'd throw that snapping breaking ball that hitters couldn't lay of and couldn't hit...not sure if it's Betances decision or if it's the pitch calling by the catcher.

Chapman has been screwed this season because of his overuse last season. The Cubs leaned on him heavily in the playoffs and he hasn't looked right at all this season. This bullpen will need a second win if they're going to get anywhere this season.

...Mess, I agree that he has not looked as sharp this year but unless there's some underlying arm injury that we don't know about, I don't think his performance this year can be attributed to last year's stint with the Cubs...the inning he pitched in relation to the games he appeared in last year with the Cubs was actually less than with the Yanx and not much different during the Post Season...not to mention that Chapman had over 4 months to rest after the WS last year...just sayin'.

...his SO/9 ratio is pretty much on par with his career averages...but his WHIP is much higher this year. I was neither a fan of the initial signing nor the signing this year...I would much rather have Miller.
