I just heard the call from John Sterling on Twitter......"A Base Hit in the gap.....and it goes over the wall for a 3 Run Homer. Thank God I am not listening to the Radio.
Not feeling so good laying in bed watching. Can't wait till these stitches come out next week. Ells hasn't been good but have to say I felt good for him watching him get that big double with the bags loaded for us. Then rizzutto with the add on run. Best thing about judges homer was watching him finally make fair contact and hit one of those line drive homers to right center. Good omen for the future. I usually have my phone next to me and click on the mlb icon to hear sterlings home rim calls since the app is usually on a 30 second or so time delay. Had to laugh as he described judges linebdrive after some hesitancy as a base hit to the right center wall before I guess Susan told him it went over the fence. LOL. Seve is dominant and will be glad when Red Sox play a real team again
Sevy gave this team a damn fine pitching performance against a genuine contender. Give that man a New York Strip Steak with French Fries, salad, and some beer to wash it down with at the post game spread.
A win for the Yankees will permit them to maintain, right now Boston up on Chicago 6-3, Tampa at 1-1 with Milwaukee.
a most impressive 2 absolutely needed victories on road, vs team with WS experience, bodes well for a young team makin an impression! go yanks
...Monty was probably optioned to make room for a fresh arm (temporary roster move) and will likely be recalled again after his replacement has pitched.
Just an observation on replay on Smellsbury's 6th inning triple ..........Ex-Yankee Almonte misplayed that ball into a triple. That ball was catchable!!! But what the hell........that's baseball, and the way the Yankees are scoring runs of late.....they will take them any which way!
