...^^^he just needs to concentrate on making contact instead of trying to hit a 5-run HR every time up in an effort to skew the run differential even further.
The bottom line is that as long as Arod is here and in the lineup I want him to produce and help this team win.
I really like Refsnyder, seems to hit the ball well very often. Looks like an obvious "good" hitter. He may be here soon but so far, he may be a better butcher than a defensive 2b.
Big win...(for April) good job guys. Take 5/7 in back to back series from the two teams with the best records. Outstanding! Come from behind win....all good. Betances absolutely owns the Mutts, bless his heart. 8-2 over the last ten and tied for first place with the team (Rays) who they play next. Yanks continue to score runs at a good consistent pace. Stay healthy boys, just stay healthy. Rays next and if this team's lineup stays healthy and produces over the course of the season I think, imo, they're going to be in it all season because of their pitching.
Crybaby Terry Collins. Guy just reminds me of a little snot nose punk. In the past he's whined about the Yankees hitting "Yankee Stadium" HRs vs his team but in the next series at Citi Field the Yanks also out homered his Mets. Up yer nose crybaby. Tonight, during the post game interview, he said "the Yankees have done a good job of building their team for their ballpark" I found it to be a backhanded compliment and more sour grapes from crybaby Collins, ..and I was begging for one of those "reporters" to follow up his comment by telling him: The Yankees happen to be 7-3 ON THE ROAD so far this year. Nope, not a peep. Shucks!
...have you ever noticed that when the Yanx lose a game the answer is that "it's still early" or that "it's still April" and that we should not judge this team so early. ...but when they win, the same logic strangely does not apply, and the win is somehow seen as a reliable barometer and a precursor for the rest of the season ?
Yes, I noticed that, not a coincidence, more the definition of a Homer?:MARIS61: and those porn-staches, make for great left overs, the next morn....!
I'm glad the Yankees won, I'm glad they have a winning record, just wonder how long this group can sustain the success. Remembering the '13 team that played over their heads, I'd like to think that this '15 team is a better brand. But in watching I really have to wonder. And screw New York National!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess some feel there are different degrees and periods of "early" or when a team is trending downward too quickly, or when it's time for a team to begin to show signs of life. Yes, of course it's still early for just about ALL the teams but there are also many teams who can benefit more by having a good first couple of months of the season as they may not be one of those who are generally regarded and expected to be kinda like an obvious solid contender. We're into the last week of the first month....I think it's time, and a good idea (lol) to be playing well and I do believe the Yanks SO FAR have made good strides and made a statement as they have played very well in the last 10 games including going 5-2 in back-to-back series vs two clubs who were playing well with the best records. I think most people (myself included) would feel it would be dangerous territory, even in late April if this Yankee team was floundering a few games below .500 and 7 or 8 games out of first place. Do you know when it's sounds kinda silly or too "early"? Imo - When some are calling for particular teams to finish at .500 or slightly better in JANUARY, FEBRUARY , MARCH and APRIL...... Now THAT'S what I call - "too early". Lol
