Eovaldi is just a knucklehead. He not only didn't take the sure out at first base which would've made it two outs and runner on 2nd, he hesitates and doesn't catch Granderson off 2nd base.
Now it's runners on 1st and 2nd one out and he has to face the #3 and #4 hitters....he retires Walker but Bruce nails him with a 3 run HR.....of course! (with two out)
4-0 Mets and there's your ballgame.

A stray cat on the field has a higher baseball IQ than Eovaldi.
A case of a pitcher with a million dollar arm and a two bit head.
He'll never be anything more than what he already is.
If he was ever going to turn the corner or make significant improvements, this would be the year.
I dont think he'll be back next year, and he shouldn't.

...terrible deal that brought him here.

...in other news, Sanchez sure looks better swinging the bat than he did earlier this year.

Some one from the media asked Joe why they kept playing Hicks given his poor hitting performance. Joes response look at Jackie Bradley jrr. Boston did not give up on him so the Yankees won't give up on Hicks. Joe does have a point difference being though Boston had Bradley inside a stronger lineup. Hicks at this point in time is another one of many who aren't getting the job done. That hit did shock me as well.
