ah Drew was part of Cashman's plan....that grand strategy you blindly follow as gospel. Starting to see how you have a credibility issue? where did I put my pom-pom's...lol!
...can't stand Kenney...he's one of those saber stat geeks who only sees the game like a video game...for me, he ranks about even with Skip Bayless and Jim Rome.
Being that your questioning my "credibility" and say I'm a blind follower of Cashman, I think you should read my reply and do us both a favor, try and keep track of my whole response. I think that would be fair enough. Here goes: Yes, Drew was/is part of Cashman's plan and I did agree with his line of thinking with Drew having a full ST and beginning the season from the start, there was a fair chance Drew could at least have decent numbers while playing solid defense at 2b and occasionally SS. Possibly hitting in .230 - .245 with double digit HRs..... .....now here's the finale: I have also recognized he could eventually become the backup 2b/SS with Pirela and/or eventually Refsnyder taking over at 2b.... and: The season isn't quite over yet (lol) and whether we like it or not, there's still time for Drew to improve on his rate of production. That's all, I'm done with this little exchange of thoughts and opinions.
Well, I think I've provided a good response to him presuming the final results are in on Cashman's "Drew plan" and also calling me a "blind follower". Yes, I think I'm done with him on this matter. Thanks for asking.
Nah, let's not get repetitive in this thread on Cashman's "Drew plan". We'll pick it up maybe on a later date if the subject pops up again.
If it doesn't I'm sure you'll find a way to bring it up. Lets all just try to stay on topic & keep things as current as possible.
Guidry struck out 18 in '78, Cone and Wells struck out 16 in '97, however they did walk some hitters. Pineda is first with 16 SO and 0 walks. Pretty damn good when you're in that company.
