^^^^..... Exactly this offense can turn anemic in a heartbeat. I cannot recall a team that was so dependent on the long ball. Of course with attempts to hit the long ball comes record amounts of strikeouts. This team is not balanced offensively its long ball or bust. It was a great interview with Billy Beane a week or two ago. He nailed it perfectly when he said, if my team hits more home runs than yours I will win 75% of the time. But the other 25% a team needs to be able to manufacture runs and play small ball. While both must be accompanied by good starting pitching and relief.
