Probably the only thing which could've prevented the Yanks from beating Philly tonght happened - Pineda threw an absolute stinker, his earliest knockout of his career, 8R, 3.1 IP.....and now we have Pineda with a 4.25 ERA for the season. Trouble. And Capuano just HAS to be pitching himself off this team, which would be a good thing. Sometimes it's hard to keep your chin up but, there's still time to take 2/3 from Philly and the division may be shaping up as which teams will drop into solid mediocrity instead of which team will "get hot" and open up a big lead....maybe.
...I don't think there will be a team in this division that will take a big lead...I think there will be maybe 2 teams that eventually separate themselves from the rest of the pack and fight it out for the division until the last week of the regular season. ...IMO, the divisional winner won't clinch until there's only 2-3 games left to play.
...^^^ to this thread, and its contents; agreed..... Playing the lowest of lows, and Mr Crooked Head, blows/squanders a game he should of never lost......WTF, I'll put my money on #43, I expect that is exactly how September will begin and end...! Right down to the final couple/few games...... there won't be a runaway Team, in the AL East....not this year....!
