Nova's start was certainly needed. A strong Nova is big for this rotation.

Put Longoria on that list as well. The thing that I liked best when Nova went after Bautista was that he did it on his own accord. And correct, Bautista was flaming, like who are you to pitch me like that. Keep trucking Ivan!!!!!!

CC should be traded to Russia.

Yep. Yanks kinda "acquired" a pretty good pitcher today.
If Nova is healthy and "right", the Yanks gained another SP who is as good as just about any other teams' #3 -4 SP in this division....maybe better.

I remember that and also after bautista said something to him nova came off the mound walking towards him at the plate ready for some action and bautista wanted no part of him. Nova is not a small guy.

And dickhead trashman better not be giving up any young assets for veteran pitcher before he brings severino up here and gives him a shot first. The kid is killing it at triple A.

There's a Home Plate (on occasions), I've seen too much of in the NL, and I wonder if he's called any games in the AL. His last name "Winter", he's every bit as bad as Don Denkinger was. Winter calls strikes below the knees, (by a few inches at that), then calls strikes above the knees, balls.........worst fkng Ump in MLB right now, IMO.....He like Don, has called fouls HR's, reviews show otherwise, and HR's inside the Pesky Pole Foul balls, thank God for instant replay........

Another amazing thing about this game is that they've scored 10 runs WITHOUT the benefit of a home run.

Chintzy little infield hit took the perfecto, damn unlucky, that was the 2nd no no in a row for Estrada broken up. At any rate they beat the Rays so I'm happy.

I would really rather see us build from within, I sense a new core 4 on the horizon as long as Yankee brass doesn't screw it up.

I've seen just that, several times the last 2 weeks, with Mgr's being kicked out of the game, for asking or telling the Ump to confer with the 1st base Ump, on check swings.....I know Donnie BB was kicked out twice in the last 2 weeks, & his catcher too, for this very reason......Don was ejected in the dugout, as all of Winters victims are more often than not, ie tossed while still in the dugout......

    Now Joe......

and several others in prior weeks........Cash of Tampa Bay, was tossed for the same. I'm not sure, but it seems like Maddon was in a heated argument yesterday, with the ump, but I didn't see the final outcome.....

I didn't see today's game until the 6th inning. It's damn good to hear Nova is back and in style; I hope......

Just what the Yanx needed, as do several more teams, SP's.......a premium...!!
