like I said that was the in public PG version, if that was home...there would have been plenty of OMFG's in there
...lol...actually I thought it was pretty damned good...didn't realize at first that it was you doing the commentary...thought it was just some obscure youtube video at first.
yeah...I picked a real good game to go to. Even did the Pepsi Fan Marquee scoreboard message to my wife for our 15th wedding anniversary..fun night
^^^Did she have any idea you were gonna do that?... pretty cool gesture, Al. ...Beats the hell out of flowers and/or a box of chocolates.
it was a secret until the middle of the 5th when I started recording the scoreboard and she caught on...my message was like the last one to appear...oh well she loved it and so did all the women sitting around us lol
this was the first night game at the new stadium...that scoreboard is even more impressive at night...my lord is it huge
...good to have you around again, Al...don't be a stranger. (but watch out for that totus fella....he's a known trouble maker)
thanks, I really never left, unfortunately I haven't followed the Yankees much the past couple of years. Friday night was the first game I watched all year, and will be going to another game this Wed (won free tickets from Buffalo Wild Wings). With me watching Jets football and Rangers hockey as much as I do my wife wants to watch some non sports sometimes too lol
...as a fan, this year has been strangely surreal because now with Jeter gone, for the first time in a very long time, there's not one player on this team that really serves as 'the face of the franchise".
And speaking of Jeter they really thought with him gone & having the new infield of Headley, Gregorius & Drew that they would have a solid defense, and here they are 3rd in the league in errors.
Great job, Al. I like your 'excited' call. Now, if you can only call some Ranger playoff goals next year. Yeah.
No Rick, please, totally relevant ongoing situation regarding the Yanks ability to hit HRs and their mediocre BA w/risp as it pertains to their W-L records and, and I was replying to a post addressing the subject...... I do apologize if I offended anyone by including dramatic ironic factors in the equation.....and yes, also some legitimate sarcasm to inject some humor trying to help express my opinion (and point) on the matter. But rest easy, I take my fair share of arrows in the butt. It's all good.......it's only BASEBALL talk. My main point, and I think THE main point - imo - concerning the Yanks poor ability to win games when NOT hitting HRs is primarily the result of not getting enough well pitched games into the later innings from their SP. Do I want the Yanks to hit better w/risp? Absolutely.....of course. But they are what they are....and they need their SP to step up in the 2nd half.
