unbelievable, back in the saddle again. Gardner picks up where he left of. Hero of the day, Tank. Why did this gem take so long to come, a perfecto for awhile and a heartbeat. 14 career high K's, 2 Hits, 2 Er's. Nice, what took Mr. Slurvy so long too show up??? Red has one quick bat thru the K-zone, since??? Ellsbury will remain the odd man out... Judge has more than carried his big frame; and continues to not press at the plate, imo. A bit tired?? he's 2 big to not get his 2nd wind for this 2nd half. I don't foresee Judge slowing down like Reggie J did after the break of 1969**. Reggie 37 hr's at the break, 12 more after the AS game, for 49 total. (**age 23, 2nd full season) ... I don't expect Judge to hit 49 Hr's this yr, tho' I'd love to see him hit 60 this yr every yr, I doubt he's going to hit as many downtown as he did the first half, a given, yet he will not slow down in production. The Ox is too big, has trained hard for 3 yrs, and is too fit otherwise - ?? (I fkng hope) that's not askin' too much?
...For me, it's a head scratcher that both CC and Tanaka can go from being so good, then to being so bad, and now being so good once again. Regardless, the Yanx are back in first place...and all is right with the world again. ...laugh for the day; I read someone who was talking about Judge's broken tooth not preventing him from hitting another HR last night...and tabbed him "The Yankee Chipper". ....sorry Mr. DiMaggio.
