I totally agree, these guys may never be the Yankees from the past but what a great first step.

I don't remember anyone hitting one off that restaurant in center and wasn't far from going over the restaurant. And didn't look like he hit it that hard

Take a look at this picture:
The big market rich Yankees' are playing the small market Tampa Bay Rays and the Yanks have a starting lineup with an average age of 26.6 including three highly regarded prospects/players and two of them have hit HRs.

    It's a beautiful picture.

The beauty of baseball's 162 game schedule.
What you see in April, May and June isn't necessarily what you'll see in July, August and September.

Twists and turns, options and maneuvers.
    I love it.

This team now needs to improve on the pitching.

    lol, Hicks batting second.

I don't know if he'll get another ML hit but he came into today's game with 110 less ABs than last year when he batted .256/.721 with 11 HRs,
    ....and 13/16 SB

26 year old switch hitter, not making alot of money with a good throwing arm and speed.
I think he's going to get "a few" more ABs before the Yanks decide he isn't at least a viable 4th outfielder.

Yankees putting the Stooky on the Dooky today. Those young guys really made quite the splash.

Good show, Yanks have the series in two game, I believe Sevey is pitching tomorrow less pressure on the kid. I believe that Yankee Games will be at nine innings again, looks like the new group will grind 'em out. .

I hear ya but hopefully these guys will make their own mark and become what they could be in their own unique ways with the one common denominator of carrying on the Yanks tradition of winning championships.
The wheel has turned and we can only hope it leads to a great new chapter.

If this new group can develop into something special, there'll be a couple of them who will stand out. It usually happens that way.
I'm already "dreaming" about Judge & Bird possibly being a dynamic righty/lefty power tandem....that's what we do....um, at least some of us.

Great post game conference going on with Mariano, Posada, Pettitte, Bernie and Jeter talking about the Yanks tradition from Ruth, Mantle and their teams. Good stuff....Jeter joked about being married and busy.

Good deal with the 96ers mixing and sharing with todays team. Fine to have young talented players but they must be shown that to be a Yankee is the ultimate in MLB.

I think the young guys get the message.....Yanks let it be known throughout the system what being a Yankee means along with the tradition.
It's one of their easier tasks.
Post game Meredith Marakowitz asked Judge what can Yankee fans expect and he said the usual rignt things and finished by saying he wants to help bring more WS back. He gets it.
