Good recovery by Paxton, that could have been really ugly. Note to offense: start hitting the God Damn Ball!!!!!!!

Solid pitching duel. There's nothing you can do about it. Both pitchers hitting double digit Ks. Splitting four games is never a bad thing when you're the team in first place. Rest up and get ready to take the division in the second half.

After seeing the starting lineups today and seeing 22 year old Torres out of the line up AGAIN along with lamehieu and someone playing 2nd that I never heard of before I decided if the Yankees didn’t give a shit about extending their lead on the 2nd place team in the division I had better things to do with my time and looks like I made the right decision. Lately all the resting being done to young guys that are our best players and especially that have been out for a long time after being hurt is total horseshit and I hope whoever is making these lineups wakes the hell up!!

Lillie what did you think of Taylor Trammels steal of Home base???

He looked clearly safe to me, though he was called out. I saw a dozen replays; but I didn't see an Official Umpire Review at all. Did the Umps call for a review; or are they not using Replay in this Classic game???

It's gonna take nothing short of Electro-shock therapy to wake BaBoone/Trashcanman up... :smiley-elektro:

They seem to be showcasing shitcan acquisitons on the Big Stage, in hopes of these nobody players improving their stock; in lieu of the excuses given to not call up Frazier, i.e. if Frazier needs to hone his skills in the Minors, what the fuck does Tauchman, Valera and 1/2 the Bullpen need to do??? They can improve their stock or watch it tumble in Scranton or Trenton; just as well as screwing the pooch on the Big Stage imo....

Charlie Morton's other (last) start vs the Yanx, he went 4 innings and allowed 3 earned runs on 4 hits and 4 walks - That's an ERA of 6.75 in that one game and a WHIP of 2.000

No doubt Morton had an off game last go round; but 10 K's in 5 2/3rds IP. Morton gave up 1 more hit, and 3 more BB's.

I gotta hand it to Morton, he was the difference in the game.

Paxton came out of the gates, giving up 2 doubles, followed by a single, and a force out infield hit for the only 2 Runs he allowed; and the only 2 runs the Rays would obtain thru the CG. Paxton went 6 IP, opened the 6th with a double, a single, and followed up stranding both runners, with 3 consecutive Strikeouts, consistently hitting 98 mph on the radar gun. Paxton's a mystery, growing stronger as the game goes deeper. He's either on or he's not, it seems....

    Future's Game Highlights thru 4....

I'm still looking for an overhead view, and the view shown during the game from the camera behind the plate; of this play, an attempt to steal Home, and from what I saw, with additional camera angles, he looked clearly safe...

Reminds me of a young Rod Carew

Ken Roesenthal reports the Yanx are scouring Yrevor Nauer, and of course the Indians will want Clint Frazier, and likely others.
