We go home for our last home stand on Friday. 9 games. Then finish on the road for the final 7. The Rays 4 and the Sox 3. That'll be a tough road if we're fighting OAK for home field.

The night of Quad 5's in Quad City.

    Yanx saw 5 bullpen pitchers
    Had 5 runs
    On 5 hits
    5 base on balls

At least RISP & LOB we're not an issue.

Instead of a Twinkies dinner, burnt Lasagna was served.
Baboone left Lasagna in the oven too long.
Italian food served in a can, 4 hits, 3BB's with 6 earned runs over 1.1 IP-
    018- ERA 5.06
Leave them loaded hand the ball over and watch the fireworks i.e.-
Flambe with Gas-Conlee ERA @ 5.89, 4 Hits, add another run-

Who would ever have dreamed a RP with a 7.86 ERA would close a game.
When the games outta reach serve 'em Carp. Keep a RP in the BP for blowouts, ingenious???

I was always surprised that Steinbrenner did not fire Cashman and Torre after that '04 loss. This franchise has not been the same since.

Sonny Gray is Carl pavano without the injuries; delusional.

Yankees lose to a team that were mathematically eliminated in May.
Yanks. 9 back of Bosox, who ate fowl

Post Game Boner: "We got to quit laying eggs like this and play better baseball"

Post Game Gray: "those walks will kill ya" "We lost one game, we're fine, everyone's in good spirits"

What kind of mealy mouth comments are those from field leadership and his starting pitcher. Wake up Steinbrenner Yankee Fans deserve better. The real egg was laid when Girardi was not brought back to transition this team.

...Jim Cantore is kind of an inside joke around here...we've talked before how Cantore and the rest of the Weather Channels nerds get hard ons whenever there's a hurricane approaching or some other meteorological event, and tend to over-dramtize weather in general. A few years back Cantore was trying to illustrate something that happens every now and then which was "thundersnow" or lightning flashes during snow storms and badly wanted to have it documented on camera...and he went absolutely nuts a few times on that video.
