I have to wonder about Verlander. The man was thought to be about done and gets traded to Houston. He then takes on a Transition akin to Clark Kent coming out of a Telephone as Superman. A friend on mine had the opinion if you're major league you're a suspect.Another guy like that had a similar transition in '98 now I believe lives in the Houston area having pitched for Houston as his last stop.

I wonder as well how or what the latest masking agents are being used, in this ever evolving game of cat-and-mouse with the juice..

Clemens, the guy who used illegal rocket fuel and fizzled out into a firecracker...

I've long wondered how his career would've looked like in Toronto, after the Bosox let him go, saying he was washed up? I doubt he would have won those other 4 Cy Young Awards, using rocket fuel....

What blows my mind is his 59.5% HOF Votes this year. I wouldn't be surprised if the bbwaa elects the blatant cheater ???

"Down in the swampland where anything goes, it's alligator bait and the bars don't close"...

The Pale Ho's took two of three from the Yankees in April
    Nova-
He beat the Yankees the last time these two matched up. He went six innings while striking out five and only surrendered one run. Oddly enough, that start was one of Nova’s best on the year. His entire body of work has been pretty dreadful so far.
He has a 6.28 ERA and allows 12.2 H/9. Opponents have Hall of Fame-type numbers against him, a .333/.379/.536/.935 slash line.

Prior to Tonight's Game The Yankees placed Kendrys Morales on The DL with a Left Calf Strain and recalled Nestor Cortez Jr. and Mike Tauchman from Triple A.

Missed out on Kackel, to the best on my knowledge the Yankees were not interested so he (Kackel) took his beard to Atlanta and got 13 mill. If the Yankees dealt with LA I'd hope Estrada would be retained. Scherzer would be a great pick up, get on it Cashman, if you can't develop an ace then buy one, course that hasn't worked too well in the past. If Scherzer were to leave DC I don't know what his choices would be, I'm sure he'd want to contribute to a winner.

Dumb fuckers should have kept Tauchman from the get go, Morales on the DL is akin to one fott in the grave and the other on a banana peel.

God I hope Trashmans doing some serious trade talks with Bird #1 on that list, and a few others.
    Mad Max or Mad Bum??
With our luck he will land Stroman, last on my list.
News has it Trashman is on the phone round the clock...

When looking at Ruths hitting/pitching accomplishments the man stands alone. Must have been really cool to be a Yankee Fan in the Twenties and Thirties watching Ruth and Gehrig send baseballs out of the Yard.

I've often wondered which era I'd prefer to live in if I had but a 20 yr period. 20's-30's, or 46-66 ???

Our Grandfathers were lucky SOB's to of lived through all Yankee Dynasties/era's, less the 90's on.
I can't fathom living to watch Murderer's Row, onward to the days of DiMaggio; Berra; Mick, Guidry; Catfish et al. All those greats as well as the dozens and dozens of others not mentioned herein...

    My idea of Baseball Heaven-

Happ's won 5 consecutive games; without looking like the Happalong Cassidy Happy starter of last year.

5 consecutive wins; yet imo he's not looked too dominating. A 2.50 ERA over his last 18 IP; 3 games.

Overall 13 Games Starterd with a inflated 4.38 ERA.
    What's really disturbing is over his 70.1 IP, he's given up 16 HR's, for a 2.05 Avg HR/IP.
