All rise goes deep on the forst pitch for number 53. 1-0 yanks. Nice lineup again. Our best shortstop is playing 2nd so ILF’s feelings aren’t hurt. And of course what would a Yankee lineup be without that geared stieoit waiting to happen donaldson batting 5th.

Nice clutch as usual hicks….. NOT!! This team is judge and the 8 musketeers! Stuck in the house with another gout attack so I’m stuck watching this crappy team today. At least judge got another one.

 

Boone just wasted a challenge on a ball he claims hit the screen behind the plate before the catcher caught it where the camera shot was so low you couldn’t see it. What a dope. So when the imps inevitably blow a play later yanks have no challenges left. Brilliant job Boone just brilliant!

His bats are uncompetitive and he’s not moving well on defense. Maybe bring volpe up here and stop with all the seasoning already. Braves bring up their top prospects after A and double A ball! Why can’t we do it also. Put volpe at 2nd, peraza at short and IKF at third where he actually was a gg winner. Put Cabrera in rf. Bench gleyber, donaldson and hicks. Can’t stand the same DEAD AS A DOORNAIL lineup every game. Inject the youth into it already.

 

And now the umps blow a catchers interference call but because Boone challenged a call that couldn’t be seen before as I noted earlier he had no challenges left and the bad call will stand! UGH!!

 

And Holmes bailed out by a bad strike 3 call by the home plate umpire as he did his best to shit all over this game. Rays hit ropes everywhere but yanks hold on for a desperately needed 2-1 win!

 

Nelson on the postgame saying what a great job Holmes did is either blind or a fraud!

 

I swear I thought Holmes was going to blow the game... Again!

 

In postgame Boone confirmed hamate bone broken and surgery needed to remove knocking benitendi out for the rest of the season and who knows how deep into playoffs. Boone needs to just leave Florial in center and let him play. Hicks sucks

 

Damnit, I was obviously hoping otherwise...so now we're relegated to having Hicks in the OF ?


This team has NO chance...not exactly a new observation, but Cashman should be fired for acquiring nearly half of the starting line up. (Hicks, Stanton, Donaldson, IKF)

 

When I first heard about Donaldson coming to the Yanx, I saw it as a sure sign that Torres was gonna be traded. But once the Yanx announced that IKF would play SS and Torres would move back to 2B, I was like "WTF,...why the hell did we get Donaldson?"

Regardless, I had no idea Donaldson's playing ability had fallen off so badly...but that's still on Cashman.
