With TMac out, and the Rockets having a losing record with Yao leading this team, it's going to hurt Yao's chances. People who aren't ready to name Yao the MVP have an excuse not to vote for him.

I said nothing about their games being similar, Yao turns to dog crap if he plays anything more thant 36 minutes. He can't make his shots, he can't play decent D and he def can't carry a team.</div> How many games have you watched? Sorry, but you're just plain and simply in denial. Never in the how ever many years Bradley played in the NBA did he get the ball when the game mattered. So your statement that Yao turns into Bradley is not only ridiculous but ignorant. And FYI Shaq has averaged 36.9 MPG's thru his career Yao is sitting at 31 mpg's and is going up.
It was bound to happen... With Yao's new attitude comes a new look!! the transformation is complete!!!!

How is supposed to be MVP when he can't even play 40 mpg? He is a top center no doubt, I'd say he is the best center in the NBA right now. But MVP, naw don't go there. So many more guys deserve it over him. <font color=""Red"">Next time use the "edit" option instead of double posting- AznxBaller</font></div> I beg to differ on yao not playing 40+ minutes without slowing down. He has shown he CAN play 40+ and still be efficient. Look at the washington game, he was the reason rox got the win. 23 pts in the 4th quarter, playing 39+ min total. He played back to back at golden state and LA and still got 35+ pts, 15+ rebounds, 40+ min on both games. Trust me, fatigue is not a major factor in yao game right now. If anything, it should be turnovers, which i'm sure yao will improve on as the season progress.
lol, that pic looks funny, i did saw many players hav chinese tatoos on their skin, bt yao would never carve such words on his arm cuz his parents just won't let that happen. and it wil scare his girlfriend:0 anyway, at least for living so many yrs in Hou, yao has absorbed some of american culture into his own. he began to show his strength on court and no one including refs could ignore his huge presence.
Actually, my dad was just reading one of those Chinese newspapers and it had a piece on what cars Yao drives. He has only three... A BMW 745, Infiniti QX56 and a Toyota Sequoia, none of them are tricked out! Guess he's not so Americanized yet. Where's the Hummer, Caddy, or Lincoln?
Yao Ming is still tight though. The guy talks trash on the court, speaks decent English (has a deep voice thought), he is a G because he has a g/f, and also he is the best center in the NBA and in my book, the M-V-P!
hope oneday i could watch closely how yao throw garbage words towards his opponents; i'd rather stay cautious regarding to MVPs, might be too early to say so. besides, when T mac returns, yao's statistic would possibly below his average and as long as he could't hit clutchs consistently, i would just put him as a backup in case all other runners are not my fav
Yao's top 3 in NBA's Maurice Brooks MVP rankings and #1 in Greg Anthony's MVP ranking. Yao's performance is finally getting some recognition, not bad at all.

Give me a 7-series over an ugly-ass Hummer anyday! sleekness > size
Just saw Yao in the Lakers-Wizards game. Wow! He has really developed, being able to hit those shots over people. With his height and the fundamental skills he has, I definetly could see him win the MVP, if his team gets a good record.
how is Yao not clutch? if you watch his games, he hits big shots. He also misses big shots, but you name one great player who didn't miss at least 2 clutch shots for 1 clutch shot they hit. He IMO one of the top MVP choices although the season is still long from over.
Last 10 season the MVP's team has either been 2nd or 1st in their conference. That might hold Yao from getting it. He may get it, but it will be unlikely. Rockets will have to have a good record.
