When you are a retard, you can't avoid being retarded. I guess that applies with Shaq. When you are that big, you can't avoid the troubles your size causes.
Yao said it didn't even hurt, it was obvious he was going for the ball but just came up with Yao's head instead. We all know Shaq wouldn't try to hurt Yao intentionally, and again, it didn't hurt. It wasn't a flagrant, no question about it.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Trail_Blazer76:</div><div class="quote_post">You pointed out the fact that Shaq is a rarity, and he is, because of his size. So yes, your statement implies that it is because of his size that the foul was committed.</div> Reading a bit too much into things, aren't you?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Ryo Hazuki:</div><div class="quote_post">I think the big moron is just mad that there is someone who can finally own his ass in the paint, just like "The Dream" used to.</div> lol..I dunno think so..shaq dunked the ball on his face and also blocked his azz...only thing Yao did good against shaq was shooting jumpers. and I saw it..shaq was trying to foul him because he was coming out of the game anyways .. but didnt get his arms instead he got his head lol that was hilarious I guess Yao was too fast for him so he hit him in the head.

A couple of weeks ago, he got elbowed by Stephon Marbury, and went down, now he gets hit in the face by Shaq, and just smiles and goes to the free throw line? Patrick Ewing is a miracle worker. =P
Why so much hate for Shaq? Anyways, I dunno if it was a flagrant on Shaq, but I can definitely say that the flagrant called on Shaq when Steve Francis flopped was bulcrap. That is twice Francis has gotten a flagrant call against Shaq.

Eat your hearts out.
the MDE ^^ Shaq time is over. its Yao time to shine. no doubt. This is Yao second year, and he is already holding his own.

NOT!!! Shaq plays with 3 other all-stars and still owns Yao in every category. Shaq's team has a better record and keep in mind that Shaq gets double-teamed while Yao is played straight up. Let's see Yao guard Shaq 1-on-1. Good luck pal.

Thats what we are referring too. You mention that Shaq plays with three other All-Stars? Well, to my knowledge their are only two All-Stars on the Lakers. I wasn't under the impression that Malone and Payton were actually selected as all-stars. You mention he has three other "stars" on his team to play with. My question to you is how many times this year have all four of them been healthy and been able to play on the court together? Three of them? Also, if you look at the Lakers gameplan it is set to get Shaq the ball down to him regardless of how many other "all-stars" are on the court. Hell he could play with 4 scrubs and still get around the same numbers. The others play off of him, his stats will be constant while they will fluctuate so saying that his stats are lower because he plays with three other all-stars is ludacris. The fact of the matter is Yao outplayed Shaq in their head to head matchup. You are a biased Laker fan and refuse to admit that. Shaq is a much more dominate player right now and I don't think anyone will dispute that however Yao had the better game. End of discussion.
I hate Shaq, and the Lakers are Kobes team dammit!!! Kobe is doing so good and he deserves to own the Lakers instead of Shaq!!!! 30.0ppg last year damn

Yao DID play a great game, but I just don't feel as if the torch has been passed so to speak..

Also, Yao gets these numbers playing alongside two players who can create for themselves, attempting way less shots than Shaq. What matters is that Houston got the win, and Yao got 29 points. The torch will be passed eventually. But if Yao and Shaq switch teams right now, Yao would already have taken it.
If by "Yao has always held his own against Shaq" you mean that the Rockets are 3-1 in the Yao vs. Shaq matchup, then yes he's always held his own. Otherwise...
^Yes. That's exactly how I meant it. Shaq has posterized Yao on occasion, but Yao isn't exactly a scrub either.
