Why are fans so obsessed with ratings now. That's something Stern should be scared about.

I would watch if the Spurs were perhaps about to get eliminated, but I'd rather play video games otherwise.

the other thing about that game is that, not only was it not entertaining, but it was played at a very low level. Ask any player on either of those teams and they'll tell you their teams were playing some of their worst ball.

And why do you want Stern to have to worry about something? Is it because he suspended Amare and Diaw? I'm sorry man but that's a rule. I'm sure he didn't want to suspend them but he had to. No matter how unfair it is, it's a rule and they broke it. It's pretty black and white.

If you want to read more about my opinion go to the thread I started here in General NBA about owners not wanting to change the rule. [IMG]I know it's not entertaining because the NBA sucks. Once ASU's basketball team gets back to repectability that's what I'll be watching. It just makes me so happy to see the NBA reach all-time lows every year. Outside of the die hards, the league is a joke.

Every die hard doesn't want the Suns to win the title. Sorry. I'm satisfied with the finals the way they are. Cleveland is one of my favorite teams and I wouldn't mind seeing Lebron win it. I think if he can play like he did at the end of the Detroit series, then they have a good shot. Honestly, the Spurs are more entertaining to me than the Suns. Why does everybody think the Spurs are so boring? Pretty ridiculous to me. The problem is people can't enjoy good basketball anymore. How is the NBA reaching all-time lows? The league has more superstars than it has ever had before.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ASUFan22 @ Jun 9 2007, 03:56 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I know it's not entertaining because the NBA sucks. Seems like you're just jumping on whatever team that you like is good.

I said besides the very few die hard NBA fans, including some Suns fans who watch it no matter what...the league is a joke. It's by far the worst league out of the top 3 and closer to the NHL than anything else.

here's the thing I think about this though. The Spurs are a very entertaining team to watch. The Cavs can be one too. That said, game 1 was played at an AWFUL level. The Spurs were playing at their worst and the cavs were playing worst. There was no intensity. No drama. Little effort. It looked like a regular season game.

The NBA is fine. Just because a bunch of 13 year olds who only want to see 360's and behind the back passes aren't watching, it's not the end of the world.

Seriously, what do the ratings matter? You actually think the ratings would be up if the Suns were in it? Give me a break, they'd probably be at the same level as they are now. Maybe even less because all of the fans in Texas aren't watching

Not really, you do know that the series the Suns were in got some of the best ratings over the past few years right? Even if you don't like it, it's pretty obvious most people like it best. People in San Antonio wouldn't be watching you mean...not Texas and they have about 3 mil. less people than Phoenix. Heck, San Antonio couldn't even sell out their own WCF games. :P I don't really think most Dallas and Houston fans would enjoy San Antonio there more than Phoenix.I'm in a good spot right now though after a month of disappointment. I just don't care that much anymore and can just sit back, watch the 2 best sports leagues in the country this summer and know that no one cares about Stern's product. :dunno: Compared to the normal amount of people I mean.

Its only freaking Game 1, and the superstar that everyone wants to see[At least most of us] was totally off. IMO, the ratings and everything will go up once the series goes on and on. And weren't The Spurs blowing the Cavaliers out in the 3rd? Everyone thought the Spurs had the game already, and they turned it off. Who knew the Cavaliers would get within 9. :|
