Yi should just fake an injury if he gets voted in.

I do, they are rather fun, high scoring, fast paced games.

    What's not to like?

Don't underestimate the Chinese fanbase....trust me, asian fanbases can get crazy and dedicated and a tad over obsessive if they want to be.

    I only know, cause I'm chinese....but I grew up in CA. :D

Hell, Sun Yue will also get written in.

He'll play more minutes in the All-star game than the entire regular season combined.

If he makes the All Star Game, that will be an absolute embarrassment to the league. He doesn't deserve to be there. Rookie/Soph game, sure...All Star Game...no way.

Until it ACTUALLY happens I won't believe all the crap that gets written about Chinese players and the all star voting. After all Wang Zhi Zhi was a Chinese player, did the Chinese fans ever voted him to start in th ASG?

In Yao's 2nd year the NY times actually conducted a research to see if it was the fans from China who voted for Yao to start ahead of Shaq. The result was rather surprising in that Yao receive most of his votes from the paper ballots, which meant he got most of his votes not from the internet but from fans attending the games. Of course it's always possible that millions of Chinese fans flew all the way across the pacific to get to an NBA arenas just to vote for Yao.

Having being in China for the Olympics and seeing first hand how popular team USA players were I highly doubt that fans there would vote for Yi ahead of say KG but I doubt this topic is going to go away until a week out from the ASG.
