Truth is, and we all know it to be true, we won’t beat Golden State in 2018/19 or 2019/20....so let’s retool by taking a page from Ainge’s playbook and pull the trigger Dame to Boston
It won’t happen but it’s interesting. Kind of would like to build around Dame, let Dame be the best player in franchise history and hopefully make it to the conference finals or better at some point in his career.
Yeah but this draft is for real. Look at Luka Donic for example. It's Impossible that he Ends up as a bust, because he already is the Franchise Player for real Madrid and is playing like an MVP in euro League, against pro competition, not that ncaa College shit, this guy is the real deal and could be as good as Harden or even better. Doncic is sooo good, i would even consider trading Dame for donic although i love Lillard. Also Ayton is very good but sucks in Defense, bamba could be the Next rudy Gobert WITH a 3 point shot, Michael Porter has Franchise Player caliber. Thats my top 4 in the draft.
Short sighted! If Dame, with Aminu / Harkless / our #24 pick in June) via a three-team trade, could net you: Jalylen Brown (past #3 pick and 6’-7” PG) Harrison Barnes (a wing that is better than we have had in many years) Dallas’ #5 pick in June Memphis’ #1 pick in 2019 (from Boston) Kings #1 pick in 2019 (from Boston) It’s not a “hell no!” It’s a Y E S! In three years we might be looking at going deep into the playoffs with a young core. Boston doesn’t need Kyrie....but imagine adding Dame!? Ainge would be crazy not to bargain with the Blazers! And Portland has missed the “Dame window” with the mess of a team we have constructed and contracts that don’t drop for two years - I loved Roy. I love Dame, but I want more than first round and out! I want to see the trophy again in Portland!
There is zero chance that Boston would give up Kyrie, Brown and picks all for Dame. Back to the drawing board.
Celtics need a player of Nard's caliber to take them to the next level. Without him they have no chance of beating GSW, as GSW doesn't have a player who is guaranteed to make 50% of his swish3's like Nards is. Also this year Nards was an improved defender. If the Celtics had Nards GSW would fear the Celtics. Therefore the Celtics need to pay the Blazers to even talk about trading Nards. The price is that Kings pick. Celtics then need to give up Tatum, Brown, Baynes, and if Portland can't get Smart. Then Morris + Boston's next 9 out of 18 1st round draft picks will need to come to Portland. I mean guaranteed to make 50% of swish3's!!!!!!!!! No other player in the NBA is as good as Nards.
hey...try the forest green for green font...the florescent lime green is impossible to read at least for me
Sure if you can get Curry with that 5th pick, Kawhi Leonard with one of the other picks, but NONE OF THESE DRAFTPICKS is a given to be anything other than a role player. Barnes and Brown are just that, role players. I'll pass on that one, but you gave a nice effort.
Draft: - Crabbe TPE to Philly for the 26th pick, Bayless, and maybe even the rights to Lessort or Bolden. - Trade our own pick, Turner, and Aminu to Detroit for Blake Griffin. - Draft Hutchison. If we need to trade up a couple spots to get him do it. A second should get that done since I can’t see him going before 20. Free Agency: - Re-sign Nurk and Davis. - Napier and Connaughton out. - Sign Wayne Ellington using the MLE. - Sign Vince Carter for the vet minimum. Roster: PG: Lillard, Baldwin, Bayless SG: McCollum, Ellington SF: Harkless, Carter, Hutchison PF: Griffin, Collins, Swanigan C: Nurkic, Davis, Leonard, Papagiannis - Use two way deals for depth.
ATL Gets: Meyers Leonard, Caleb Swanigan WAS Gets: Al-Farouq Aminu, POR Gets: Ian Mahinmi, Markeiff Morris, Miles Plumlee (TPE), 15th Pick NYK Gets: Harkless, Leonard, Turner, Layman, 15th Pick, 2019 POR 1st CLE Gets: Courtney Lee POR Gets: 9th Pick, George Hill, Joakim Noah, Lance Thomas Draft Mikal Bridges 9th Draft Chandler Hutchison 24th (Or trade up for him) Lillard / Hill McCollum / Hill Bridges / Hutchison Morris / Collins Nurkic / Davis
Yes it is , for the Blazers WHICH IS OWNED BY PAUL ALLEN. You wouldn't last to long as a GM if you go against the owners wishes.
