If they were the same age, I'd say LA. However, by the time we could amass enough talent around LaMarcus to compete, his window would be close. Hence, I chose Lillard.

I might go with Batum over either. The guy just turned 24, is a much better defender than either, and is making strides at a fantastic rate. Oh, and he's locked in on a relatively cheap contract, meaning he's easier to build around.

Luckily, we don't have to choose. Lillard, Batum and Aldridge are all locked in for the long haul.

Wouldn't that be ironic if LA ended up in Chicago and Roy in Minnesota, since they were the teams that originally drafted them. Chicago would have to send back a player for salary purposes though right? I'd like to get Noah.

Let me guess, you also wanted to trade or let go of Batum last year as well? :rolleyes3:

I don't think Chicago really has anyone that fits our window (outside of Rose).

The deal that seems to makes sense is to OKC for Ibaka/filler and TOR's pick (1-3 and 15-30 protected). I'd imagine that we'd be poor enough this year to keep our top 12 pick, coupled with TOR's 4-14 pick, to have two lotto picks and a little more than 16M in cap space (depending on the filler).

    While going forward with Lillard/Wes/Batum/Ibaka/Leonard.

What about Noah? He and LA are the same age, but the point of trading for Noah would be to bring some balance to the team. We'd get a good defensive/rebounding center, and Hickson would be a very solid PF for us.

Then we spend our cap space next year on getting a couple decent reserves.

I think what this team really needs is defensive toughness, someone that really gets after it at the defensive end, and reserves capable of giving our starters a longer spell.

Batum has been nothing short of awesome to start the season, but it's going to take more than 10 games for me to be convinced that this new and improved Nicolas is here to stay for good and that old and passive Nicolas is nothing but a bad memory.

    Lillard.

Aldridge is Shareef Abdur Rahim to me. But SAR was a little more crafty.

How many All Star games did SAR play in? How many winning seasons did his teams have? How many playoff games did SAR play in as the team's leading scorer?

I believe SAR has the worst win-loss record in the history of the NBA. Or he did for at least 8 or 9 seasons.

How many playoff wins has Aldridge lead his teams to as the leading scorer? Were debating two non-playoff winning players. I'd go as far to say looking at individual players and not teams that SAR was a better all around player. He just had shit playing around him unfortunately.

The Stotts version of LMA is eerily similar to Rahim.
