I hear yah hammer. Were looking to relo to Seattle area, I willing to go 30 miles out to the mountains so I can live in the snow band. The Mrs also wants a place either in Idaho or near Park City UT for skiing. I'm done with the desert.

I'd be perfectly content in Alaska or Colorado... Hell, any state bordering Canada.... I have family in Oregon & Colorado, so either would be ok

It's just after 9PM here in NY & we've gotten about 5 inches so far & its not really ready to come down until after 11PM. Right now they're talking 12-24 inches. At 11 tonight the city shuts down, bridges & tolls & ALL subways. Also if anyone is caught driving after 11PM they will be stopped & fined $300.00

Got to laugh at the nanny state that NY has become. Sad, used to think of New Yorkers as the toughest folks there are.

And explain to me how the fuck a storm can be called 'historic', before the storm has actually been experienced?

...^^^ I think it's because they truly get off on weather calamities like this.

...not downplaying the severity of the blizzard, but do we really need 4-5 of these Weather Channel parka-wearing geeks, in 4-5 different locations telling us "Hey, it's really snowing out here"....?...lol, well no shit.

...I seriously think that these guys get a hard on whenever there's a hurricane or when the weather is really bad. (Jim fucking Cantore is the worst)

...uhhh, just show me the radar and tell me what the temp is going to be...I can pretty much figure out the rest by myself.

Again the exaggerated predictions were way off. In my area they thought 18-24 inches. Many even went as far as saying that it could be the worst snow fall in NY city history (26.4) I believe in 2006. I haven't heard the #s yet but looking out my backyard I'm guessing 8-10 inches.

Today's joke = What do weathermen & baseball players have in common? They can both be wrong 7 of 10 times & still make the big bucks.

Indeed, its a charade of geeks.....OR- as Dylan wrote: "You don't need to be a Weather Man to know which way the wind blows", or if its raining, or hot or cold. Tho' I've always liked those Doppler Radar graphs.....

What has this Nation turned into, when as you said, we get 4 or 5, sometimes more channels with geeks in parka's, saying Yep, its snowing alright, see it falling around me.....fkn A....!

Stayed to the East blah blah blah. Scared everyone into thinking Armageddon was coming only to have half a foot of snow.

Let's not forget, the National Weather Service is part of the Dept of Commerce. Libtard infiltration of every crevice of govt hell bent to push the progressive agenda.....where made made global warming/climate change is a cornerstone issue. Its all about generating fear and installing the muscle memory of control.

Time for the sheep to realize that the sheepdog is actually the wolf in a cheap dog suit (made in China).

While I agree the libtard agenda is absurd, wouldn't the presence of a big storm contradict the myth of global warming?

...just heard that the "weather people" issued an apology for the poor snow totals forecast. From what I've read, they weren't even close.
