I honestly don't even know who Repubs are anymore. It seems like anyone who isn't liberal is lumped in as "conservative" or a member of the GOP. It sucks because I find myself agreeing with a lot of the views of the Libs, but it's the smug attitude that some (not all) possess that push me away. Unfortunately if I ever wanted to run for office in Oregon, I'd have to claim allegiance to the evil empire.

Well I am Republican and very proud of it. My reasons have nothing to do with Religion, race or creed. In fact, I believe in the GOP's economic stand and less government = more prosperity. I am so anti-social, and believe that a man that works hard shouldn't have to feed the dead beats on welfare. I'm still waiting for Obama's change that he's promised all us Americans and laugh at the Democrats that still believe it's coming. Fact is, Obama is just as bad as any politician. All promises that they have no intention to keep. Now, does that mean I believe every GOP pres, gov, senate or government official is right?!?! FUCK NO! I actually voted for Clinton both times because I felt he was the best choice for the job. I have gay friends, listen to rock music, fucked a ton of woman, and did a shit load of drugs. I'm just about making money and keeping it. Not giving it to the dead beats of society that take advantage of the system.
I don't think drugs should be illegal. It's a medical issue. When the ad council started running ads against cigarette smoking, at least half of the people smoked. Now it's less than 25%, and continuing to decline. Nobody had to be thrown in jail. Prohibition didn't work for alcohol, it's never worked for drugs either. There's a whole lot more reasoning to making drugs legal, but this is a good start.
