Don't misunderstand me as I could care less who wins between you and LA, but I thought every close call in the second half of the 4th quarter went against you last night. Not that it was a conspiracy by the refs, just close calls that could have gone either way all went against you. That was you game to win.
The Magic were up 10 FTs most of the game, until the intentional fouling at the end. I thought it was a pretty fair game, especially with our big guys in foul trouble for LA.
Refereeing was definitely favoring the Lakers. But it wasn't over the top. I expect Orlando to get the friendly whistle in Orlando.
Magic fans shouldn't act like this series if over. Against the champion Heat in 06, the Bulls came back from 2 down, and then had the Heat reeling in Game 5, unfortunately the Bulls hit a wicked cold spell and let the Heat win a game in which they also played terrible. Also, later that postseason, the Heat went on to tie it up 2 to 2 after falling down 2-0 against the Mavericks, and then reeled off 2 more wins to become champions. I wouldn't expect the Lakers to lose this series. But it's not an impossibility like some people are making it out to be.
Kobe falls down, foul called. The announcers even asked "where's the foul?" Hedo gets mugged, no call. Happened a few times. Magic should have won, the layout at the end of regulation is not one that'll be missed often.
Hedo mugged? He stiff armed how many times? He got away with enough. Howard does what he wants, Bynum foul. Odom foul. The Magic had the FT edge practically the whole game, they have nothing to complain about. Kobe took 10 FTs in 48 minutes, that's pretty normal.
haha down the stretch Hedo was being mauled and then Kobe got 2 questionable calls. Lee blew the game with the lay-up though....
How about Orlando's 20 turnovers? Hedo was warned twice by Javie to stop using his off arm before he got called for it the third time. The officials also let Howard get away with throwing his elbows everytime he tried to slip the defender.
I'd never compare Dallas to Lakers. Dirk - the head of Dallas is choke. Both teams have got their "home cooking" but nothing too ridiculous imo.
