Really hope Cristobal has his boys ready for ASU, they are one of those teams who can sneak up on you.
@yankeesince59, if the Ducks and Bulldogs were somehow to meet in the Natty, who would you be rooting for? Me? I'd be a bit torn! However, as I'm now 10 years removed from the ATL, and Oregon is my home state, I'd probably be rooting for the Ducks.
Sorry man, I gotta go with the Dawgs. But objectively, I don't think they're as good as they were last year and the year before. For them to win it all they would have to beat LSU in the SEC title game, then beat 2 of the other 3 top seeds. Their biggest flaw is not playing hard defense for all 4 quarters. Just for one of several examples, hey dominated Auburn for the first part of the game last week but took their foot off Auburn's neck near the end and allowed the Tigers get back in the game. They've also done the same thing the last 2 years vs Bama, they had Bama beat but went into a "prevent defense" which IMO, often prevents a team from winning...and I blame that on poor coaching decisions.
If Penn State were at home, I'd say they'd have a legit chance at the upset...but playing the Buckeyes at their home field is a tall order.
Yup, same shit different team...UGA dominated T A&M for 3 quarters and made FGs when they should have scored TDs...and made the score closer than it should have been. I will not be surprised Mon/Tues when the new rankings come out if Bama does not leap frog UGA into 4th place.
I absolutely hate playing in the desert, nothing good happens there for PNW teams... Also, thanks a lot Blazers, losing to the Cavs? You fucking bums! My night sucks.
1) LSU 2) Ohio State 3) Clemson 4) Alabama 5) Georgia 6) Utah 7) Penn State 8) Oklahoma 9) Oregon 10) Minnesota
I flipped GA and Bama due to Georgia's close game against a mediocre team. I believe the committee watches each game. Part of the reason results don't come out until Tuesday evening.
Ahhh, OK, I thought maybe that was it. And like I said earlier, I would not be surprised if Bama leapfrogs Georgia.
Well, as a Bulldogs fan....I sure do appreciate your optimism. That said, I wasn't all that impressed with their play last Saturday. We shall see, Sir.
