#10 love, galllinari, alexander #21 chalmers, rush, cdr #40 pekovic or address a need unmet by 1st 2 picks (inside scoring, shooting/perimeter defense, combo guard)
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Dumpy @ Jun 19 2008, 07:32 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I believe that a young big that is not clearly the best player on the board has a high liklihood of being a bust. The analysis on draftexpress today supprts that. Thus, I would be hesitant to take a big with the #10 pick. I also believe that you can find a role-player big in the second half of the first round that could be a capable contributor, although may not have the same amount of "upside," such as Josh Boone. So, I'd consider taking a big with the #21 pick. Finally, I believe that you shouldn't take two players that share the same position and thus would compete with each other for playing time. Finally, I note that the Nets have NEVER selected a college freshman, although that could change this year given the youth of the draft and Kiki's influence So: #10 pick: Westbrook, Gallinari [a. get those suspect bigs out of here; b. I don't want a guy who has athleticism and nothing else like Alexander] #21 pick: Speights, Hibbert, Ajinca, or Hickson would all be fine picks here. Hibbert could probably have the biggest impact immediately, so depending how he compares to the others I might lean towards him. [Brandon Rush, CDR, or Lee will probably get some support, but I'm taking a guy at #10 who could conflict with playing time, and I am also going to target a SG/SF at #40.] #40 pick: Bill Walker or JR Giddens. Or, Kyle Weaver if they are gone. [Giddens is very fascinating, and has fallen because of his history and because he is a senior. Fallen angel . . . indeed]</div> seems like Hibbert impressed the Nets today.

if nets draft lopez bros i will kill myself im not to big on Randolph ethier I would take 10 pick Westbrook (hes quick great back up player has a shot) Jordan this website compared him to Dwight Howard any one compared to howard i want http://www.nbadraft.net/admincp/profiles/deandrejordan.html Gordon (hes a freak amazing 3pt shot) the best pick last resort Gallinari (he is a scorer thats about it but he is ready for the nba) pick 21 Donte Green (hes got the shot maybe not NBA ready hes up and down trust me i love syracuse he would be a toss up but if we don't get Westbrook next year look at flynn) Hibbert ( I don't understand whats wrong with him hes big powerfull what the nets need) JaVale McGee (Has freakishly long arms around a 7-6 wingspan which makes him a great rebounder) the best pick pick 40 Courtney lee (Great shooter) Joey Dorsey (Aggrisive great rebounder) DJ White (Explosive athlete, loves dunking on players ) I would take a scorer at pick 10 and then go big ethier 21 or 22nd because there are some real good players examples dj white, doresy, jawai, ajiinca,JJ Hickson,Serge Ibaka

#10 - Danilo Gallinari/Brooklyn Lopez/Russell Westbrook #21 - Alexis Ajinca/CDR/Hickson #40 - Ryan Anderson/Ante Tomic/Victor Claver But all this could change. By Tuesday, I am sure the board will be filled with rumors like this: RJ and #10 for Diaw, Barbosa and #15. Unlike most of you, I think Gallinari would be an incredible steal. I also think he will be gone by #10. And if those three are gone by #10, I think trading down becomes a real possibility. I think Ajinca, because he is French, is very underrated by the mocks. He has a 7'8" wingspan, can shoot the three and is a good passer. If he were an American big, he would be talked about in the same breath as the massively overrated Jordan and McGee. My sleeper pick for the Nets is Donte Green, but I think he falls between #10 and #21.

If those three are gone, though, someone probably fell, most likely Bayless, Gordon, or Alexander will be available for the Nets. I know you don't like Alexander, but the FO seems to be big fans of his.
