I was sad to see Plumlee's name in that trade, but this is the objective point of view: Right now the Blazers are a 4th tier team who might have been able to scratch that 3rd tier level if more things have bounced the right way in some games. Lets say you take CJ and Lillard, one of the best duos in the NBA right? surround them with 11 good Euroleague starters - that team will still be a 4th tier team but with the lowest payroll in the league. The only conclusion out of this exercise is that the franchise is slicing too much of the cake in favor of placeholders. Time to invest elsewhere.
