The soon to be 36-year-old Zab Judah (42-8, 29 KO’s) has signed with Golden Boy Promotions to have his fights co-promoted. This potentially good news for boxing fans, because it gives Golden Boy another player to match against their 140 and 147 pounders.

You can bet Judah will be in their one of them very soon. I think perhaps the best fight for Judah right now is former WBA welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi. That would be an idea fight, because both guys are coming off of losses.

You can’t put in with another world champion right now, because it doesn’t make a lot of sense until he redeems himself somehow. Judah lost his last fight to WBA/WBC junior middleweight champion Danny Garcia last April in a 12 round unanimous decision loss.

Besides that, Judah has lost 2 out of his last 3 fights, and really 3 out of his last 5 fights if you could Judah’s highly questionable 12 round split decision win over Lucas Matthysse as a loss as well. I know I don’t recognize that as a win for Judah; not when he clearly lost the last 8 rounds of that fight badly.
