Not even close. One may be passable but there's no way they're both pretty.

Not that he shouldnt play, it's that it's not a knock in him that he wasnt issuing based on the frontcourt players we have.

    I blame Stotts.

You're the one without a clue. You have negative basketball IQ. It's funny when people mistake their own ignorance for others'.

Whether or not Collins is ready, it's clear that many of the fans are. And that counts for something with the All-Star vote, so it sure as hell should count for something here.

We deserve better than you, but sometimes you have to take what you get.

Lmao. What star did Dallas have that we slowed down that allowed Ferrell to go off?

He went off because we constantly let him get wide open jumpers because of shotty pick n roll coverage. That's different than giving up open shots to a scrub by loading up onto a star...

I have NO problem moving CJ either and well before I'd move Nurk, I like Nurk and expect him to be a Blazer for many years

Collins is going to be fun to watch this season. He has knocked Caleb down the list and with any luck Ed will be next. Somebody with Ed's defense and rebounding and a MUCH better offensive game would be nice to add to this group. I think that's where he's headed...not sure he can pull that off this season though.

The SF position is going to be a huge focus for this team.

I think he's the key in the roster. He can help us, give him time with dame and he can do it all. I think he can be really good. Only 20. He have a big potential

I've been wanting to see that since preseason. That's the future front court IMO

If only we had a player like Thomas Robinson. Then we'd realize what it is to have a true superstar.

Am I crazy for believing Nurkic plays better with Vonleh on the court?

He does play better with Vonleh and I don’t know why Stotts is so adamant about Aminu at the four. Collins also profiles well next to Nurk because he does a lot of the same things Vonleh does. Collins is a combination of the best things Vonleh and Aminu bring; he can help Nurk defensively, on the boards, and gives him a dump off option. He can also stretch the floor.

Agreed 100%. And its not like I'm anti-Aminu. It's like there is this weird disconnect between Stotts and Olshey.

Last year, PF was our weakest position. So, Neil went out and spent THREE first round draft picks to shore up the PF position.

This year, SF has been our weakest position. No Show Mo being the main reason. Yet, Terry continues to use his roster like it was last year. He continues to play Chief at the 4, when the obvious solution, to me, is to move Chief back to the 3, his most natural position.

I'd love to see what a front court of Nurk, Collins and Aminu could do. They be totally awesome defensively and on the boards, and better offensively than Nurk, Vonleh and Harkless.

Fuck small ball. Go big and force the other team to adjust for once. It's not like Collins and Aminu are going to get abused by smaller players. They both have the length and lateral quickness to guard smaller players. And, Nurk and Collins give us plenty of rim protection, too.

BTW, maybe I missed it, but I haven't seen anyone compare Collins to Andrei Kirilenko. With his shot blocking and defense, and potential to stretch the floor, Collins reminds me of a young AK47. Like Kirilenko, he is also long and lean, but with an even bigger frame.

Collins has also been in the weight room. He looks like he's put on 5-10 lbs of lean muscle.
