Knowing you wouldn't change whether or not I think use of the word gay as a pejorative--even in close company--is kind, responsible, or mature. My own brother does the same, and I find it unacceptable from him as well. And I'm a religious conservative, mind you, not a "progressive" or "SJW" at all.

I care to an extent. I don't care what people think of me here but I wanna make shit clear. I care about a lot of shit other than that. I stand up for what I believe in. I mean yeah me using gay even around close friends is probably a bit immature. That's fine, I'm not perfect. However I think the important thing here is I'm not using it to try and hurt actual gay people. I go along with certain rules. If you're cool to me, I'm gonna be cool to you.
