A year or so ago Talkhard commented on BBF about a thread on another site he posts on and being curious I did a search for it and Googled "Talkhard", and VIOLA! (or should I say "ewww"?)
I can think of one indisputably obvious reason why everyone should support gay couples adopting/raising children: They won't be "raised" at all otherwise. It's not like gay couples are stealing babies from maternity wards, or kidnapping them from schoolyards. They are legally adopting them through licensed agencies from ORPHANAGES! As I pointed out in another thread: I believe if they are adopted, they have already previously been denied having a mom and dad, either because their parents didn't want them, or due to tragic circumstances. There are over 210 Million orphans in the world as we speak. 210 Million! For comparison, the United States has a total population of 300 Million people. If someone has the heart, and the courage to make the commitment to raise one of these poor kids who currently have not only no future but no present to speak of, I say to you "get the fuck out of their way and let them be human". 210 Million Orphans!
Having skimmed through a little of this thread (it'd make more sense to read a Choose Your Own Adventure novel from beginning to end), I'd like to chime in with my own random piece of gay-ness tangent: http://www.ryangarns.com/archives/article_102508.php
Tlong- when I adopt a child, that child will have plenty of role models and confidants. That child will have 8 loving aunts, 7 loving uncles, and two loving grandparents. Furthermore, are all straight couples good parents? Are they all good role models? Are they all the right ones to ask for advice? I think not.
And, of course, is unaware of it. His moniker is heavy in irony, as Ben Davis Sr. was the US Army's first African-American General. Ben Davis Jr. was an United States Air Force general and commander of the World War II Tuskegee Airmen.
