That's the problem; you would probably have to literally bring him in to get him into an NBA training camp.
The funny thing is I'm not at all upset by all these guys we are missing out on. Whiteside is the only one I felt a bit bummed about, but I have major concerns about his mentality too.
I think a team might be able to pay more attention to stopping three point shots if they knew they had a great rim protector behind them.
Yeah because adding someone like Jaylen Brown or Dragan Bender to the exact team we have now is so much better than missing out on the playoffs.
the purpose thrown around to make the playoffs comes down to two things. #1 to be more attractive to free agents - this did us no good. We werent anymore attractive to free agents than we have been in the past. #2 to give our young guys playoff experience - this was beneficial. But to just say jaylen brown or dragan bender wouldnt be good on our team.... uhhhh, trades anyone? To get big players you need assets.
We will have assets after we match our FAs. Crabbe and Harkless showed their impact in the playoffs, Leonard is Leonard a rare versatile big who can bang with bigger centers defensively (not much else). I'm sorry, but I'll take those three with their experience over some rookie who may not even pan out. Yeah, not getting great free agents sucks but at least we have a team culture that puts an emphasis on winning over being shitty and half assed, I don't want to relive 04-06...
Resigned guys to larger deals that are younger with potential does not usually equal the same as a lotto pick or guy with 2 or 3 more cheap years on a rookie deal when it comes to assets.
Pachulia signs with the Warriors....can't even get the shitty guy... hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahha
Olshey is a genius knowing that the Warriors and Spurs are now copping his style after his success last offseason. He never wanted Gasol or Zaza, he wanted those two teams to sign them. Now he will go out and get his true target. If the above looks black please adjust your screen resolution until it is the appropriate shade of green.
