We disagree. I think people of all colors and beliefs are "real" Americans. So much for celebrated your idea of diversity. I guess you accept everyone...as long as they think just like you.

I don't know think many people with their heads screwed on straight are celebrating this decision. A kid is dead for no good reason. I do think that the justice system worked the way it is supposed to. Unless the prosecutors can prove to a jury that a defendant is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, that person goes free. It doesn't mean that Zimmerman is innocent. He may or may not have been justified in the use of deadly force, but only two people were there and one of them is dead. It doesn't mean that blacks don't have legitimate complaints about being profiled or prosecuted at higher rates than whites. But a court case is never supposed to be about solving flaws in our legal system. It's about whether the evidence is there in a specific case to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that the defendant committed the crime that he or she is charged with. In this specific case, the jurors found that the evidence was not there to support a guilty decision. Whether it's Zimmerman or OJ, the presumption of innocence is paramount.

Ridiculous. So, by your argument, humans can't evolve? Because I'm white I must have Jim Crow sentiments? Do I look at George Zimmerman and say to myself, "Wetback"?

As for redlining, banks ignore poorer areas because they're bad investments. If they could make money off of them, do you think they care what color is the person handling the money?

It's sad you think so little of your fellow Americans, Denny. We're much better people than you believe.

Funny, I think people need to be treated precisely equally. I guess we'll agree to disagree.

Banks do make money off of illegal immigrants and poorer areas. When I was in the auto business banks would take all the 24-36% interest paper I could write.

Why does color matter? It's funny that it only seems to matter to the Left, the folks who are the first to cry "racism!" Something tells me, you cry out what you know is in your heart. To me, all citizens are equal under the law. Of course, I'm just a racist, bigoted Tea Partier. I'm not one of those super-evolved folks on the Left.

Of course they do. When they're required to charge the same as they do in lower risk areas, they tend not to loan as much money in those cases. Denny is alleging that racism is at its heart. I'm making the argument it's economic, not race that is the basis of "redlining".

Hopefully a long time. However, his life is ruined because he was caught up in an election and race hustlers trying to make their next buck.

Doesn't matter what area you live in, if you have the credit score you can get a low interest rate. Now you might not get as many unsolicited credit card or refi offers but good credit people tend to ignore those anyways.

I wonder how many of us know what the Voight-Kamph test is? (My best guess to the answer: BlazerCaravan)

    Keep digging.

You are fast on your way to China.

Your posts in this thread make up a body of work stunning in an inability to focus on the essential elements, and inability to separate truth from fiction and a worldview that is just bizarre.

Did you call the Police first?

Did you immediately claim you were jumped and beaten, and this was corroborated by a witness (who was called by the prosecution?)

    Think!

I was discussing home loans. There it matters a great deal where you live.
