The prosecutor basically admitted that they don't really have any evidence to support their charges. LOL

A show trial. Plus, that investigator on the stand was a nervous, flop-sweating disaster.

"Um, yeah, I signed the indictment, but I didn't write or really even read it." Bond for a murder suspect, with bail at $15k to a bondsman. Hilarious.

State prosecutor says she wasn't aware of bounty on Zimmerman's head by NBP party. Uh, right.

    State investigator on stand:

Zimmerman attorney: "Do you have any evidence that contradicts what Zimmerman and others have told the police?"

Answer after ignoring it four times: "No"

    Show trial.

Defense affidavits say neighbors saw Martin peering into windows of homes that were not his own.

Apparently this guy is going to try and help the FL DA get their story straight.

Funny how you hear things and what professional lawyers know and hear:

They would have to prove that the presumption of guilt is great, and that the proof is evident," said O'Mara.

In the capias -- similar to a warrant -- filed against Zimmerman last week, Special Prosecutor Angela Corey and her team set bail at "none." In order to reduce that to bail at a set monetary sum, Corey's team would have to essentially prove their case -- something experts tell ABC News is unlikely at this point in the legal process.

O'Mara said he doubts the prosecutor will reveal their case before trial, even before discovery.

Discovery starts at preliminary hearing, and investigator was under oath today. If he lied today on the stand, he just perjured himself. He SHOULD have said we will release our evidence upon discovery. Seems to me they charged without sufficient evidence, and hope to find the evidence prior to trial.

    God Bless Amurrrica.

Well it's pretty obvious what it seems like to you, hope Zimmerman and Martin get a jury who are willing to listen to all the evidence before making any kind of conclusion.

Oh, me too. A big burden for the prosecution to prove this case at this point.

From what I've read I believe Zimmerman will be acquitted. In fact I don't think he should have been arrested in the first place.

Why, because they look 11 years old when they're 6'3" and 17 years old?

Dumbass cracka should have had a gun! Of course, he'd have a $1 million bounty on his head. It's probably best that he just let this mob beat him into the ICU. Less trouble for him this way. I wonder if our President will comment on this, and plead for restraint in the Zimmerman show trial.

Good point. I'm sure chris_in_pdx will write some mealy-mouthed "what was the mob thinking?" thread, and a bunch of us can be called racists/white supremacists by other posters for actually wanting the legal process to play out. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that nobody is going to march on Mobile to demand the immediate arrest of people involved in this cowardly attack.

Your quote of the article says that the police canvassed the area, they have 3 different hotlines set up and this is in the news within a day or two of the incident. This story, and the one of the kid who was set on fire that I think you posted earlier are exactly why the Trayvon case got so much pub (eventually). These were actively and immediately brought to the public's attention by the police, whereas in Trayvon's case his parent had to sue to even hear the 911 tapes. It is the attention that is paid to crimes against white people compared to minorities. It's the same for missing children. If a white little kid goes missing, it's newsworthy. If that kid is black, no one knows about it.

Is it on purpose? Probably not. But that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. And it doesn't mean it isn't racism.

"Now that's justice for Trayvon" pretty much trumps anything non racist about it.

As for the story, unlike the Trayvon Martin shooting, I read this story on a fucking basketball forum
