What's wrong with the thread? It'd be monumentus if RW came out as bisexual or gay (if indeed he is)... it's very much a good thread to talk about it.
 
Its up to every public athlete to find out what their comfort level is. But i sure as hell wish more of them would stand up. Several entertainment and several political figures have identified as LGBT but the pro sports landscape only has a few brave souls. That Cardinals minor leaguer who only came out after he quite baseball due to homophobic locker room attitudes was heart breaking.

I believe he is at least bisexual. It would be awesome if someone like him came out during his peak years as a star athlete. In the Barkley thread, it was explained why this is important.

How about the fact that the thread is based on a completely unsubstantiated report from a dubious unnamed source. How about the fact that this "article" is three years old (it references the all star game in Houston in 2013) and has absolutely no substance to it. Or how about the fact that Westbrook got married in August 2015 to his girlfriend of over two years. Hmm...means he started dating her in 2013. I wonder if this rumor was created by the ex because she got pissed about being replaced.

I could just as easily write an "article" like this about any pro athlete and invent details that are completely unsupportable. Yet somehow, this deserves a thread?

If there is no interest in this thread, it flies down the board unnoticed. But if people respond, it sticks around and stimulates conversation. This isn't a news site though it can be sometimes.

Why is Russell Westbrook's sexual preference a topic of discussion? Because he's famous? Should we be discussing Robin Lopez' sexual preference too? I mean, he's infatuated with Disney and spends a lot of time with mascots. I have it on good authority that he's a "furry". If he were to come out, that would be huge for the "furry" community. Let's discuss...
