lol Nate, own what you advocated. You wanted management to match the Nets ridiculous offer. You wanted them to trade CJ and "hand Crabbe the starting job." You raved about his upside the entire season in thread after thread advocating big bucks thrown his way. In June (as far back as the search function would let me dig) here is you on Alan saying exactly what I was recalling and you're now denying...

There's a difference between "pining" and saying that I would match, but I also didn't realize that his max was 20+ (as clearly stated in that quote.)

I would still trade CJ. Right now. If they offered up Boogie for CJ I would do it. I think Crabbe would be fine as the starting two. But I'm glad I wasted your time by having you go digging.

You say you never wanted Crabbe at a max deal, I link you saying exactly that and you try to split hairs on the definition of pining... classic! I'm sure I'm not the only one that can recall you all over Crabbe's nuts in thread after thread last season and into this past offseason. You absolutely pined for him to be retained at big dollars & made a starter. When he was offered a King's ransom of a contract from the Nets, you advocated that they match it... need a link of you calling the deal "reasonable"? You spoke of him needing 30+ MPG and possibly being 6th man of the year... not for the Blazers, for the league!

nice attempt at a change of direction. I'm sure most here would be for a Antetokounmpo for Jake Layman trade too, what Blazer fan wouldn't be? So what? The point wasn't what ridiculous hypothetical trade you'd be for, but you trying to claim "I was right" about Crabbe, when you've been proven so completely wrong that you're now blasting Neal for the offseason moves you advocated!

It's funny, usually you're the sunshine pumper... maybe that's just with the Ducks? I guess there wasn't much sunshine to pump over there this year. Did the Ducks sour your attitude?

And how exactly am I blasting Neil? I'm not faulting them for matching. It was a tough call. You quoted me talking about Parsons.......?

But as I said, I wonder if the decision came from Paul and not necessarily Neil.

Actually, yes. Please provide those quotes. I'd rather not take your word for it. The only quote you have provided so far was me saying that I didn't realize that his max was 20+ and that I wouldn't match that offer. Seriously, I want to see those quotes. It sounds like complete bullshit. I made a thread last year where I said I wouldn't be surprised if he got a big payday. I said that I thought he could be a solid starting two. I don't ever remember saying that I thought he'd be 6th man of the year. Your hyperbole is off the charts right now.

Yup. Look at all those quotes where I said he'd be 6th man of the year, and how I thought the contract was reasonable..... I guess we can just make shit up, right? I said I liked the move because I don't like seeing assets leave for nothing. He's overpaid, but hopefully we can trade him before the deadline, or sometime in the offseason.

Looking forward to you lashing out at me for relaying more stupid shit you said. Here's you calling Crabbe's contract reasonable...
    http://www.sportstwo.com/threads/al...r-sheet-with-nets.302566/page-20#post-3942675

Here's you talking about him possibly being 6th man...
    http://www.sportstwo.com/threads/who-will-be-the-blazers-most-improved-player.303037/#post-3954275

No it wasn't. It was super easy for me and others to say bye-bye to a not very good one trick pony. But like that not very good one trick pony named Martell you proclaimed a "Superstar" before, you were all over Crabbe's potential advocating retaining him for the All Star money a desperate cellar team offered. You claimed he was a capable starter and would be a valued asset to trade if need be down the line. How could anyone be unhappy with Neil's offseason? What's not to like? you pondered. Now that it isn't working out, you've apparently developed amnesia and are blaming Neil for the same moves you advocated and praised him for. From the Is Olshey's seat getting warmer? thread...
    http://www.sportstwo.com/threads/is-olsheys-seat-getting-warmer.306008/page-2#post-4005672

21 posts a day 365 days a year, it must be hard to keep track of all the BS that you put out there. But this on-going Crabbe crush you beat the drums forever for seems like it should register. Don't blame Neil for mistakes you backed... own it!

Crabbe was signed to that contract because the Nets wanted him to be their starter, and if Crabbe was starting somewhere, his contract could be considered reasonable. It may very well happen before the season ends. This isn't backing your hyperbole at all.

And in a thread where we're posting about what we'd like to see for the season, which was originally posted in JULY, you're going to say that's the same as saying he could be 6th man of the year? C'mon man....

And I have to seriously LOL at you for bringing up Martell Webster from god only knows how long ago...... 12 years? Really STOMP? You're that guy? I'm not 100% sure you're not an alternate PapaG account because that's some seriously PapaG level shit right there dude. You've got some very flimsy shit backing up your claims right now. So the 20 or so quotes that I posted don't outweigh the weak shit that you posted?

exactly as expected. Talking shit out of both sides of your mouth, so you can cover your ass and always claim to be correct and of course attacking posters instead of owning how completely wrong you've been proven about Crabbe. What a complete Slypokerdog you are Nate

Right back at ya sweet stuff. You're one of those grudge holders who love to hold onto things and start shit where it doesn't need to be started. I don't remember calling Martell Webster a superstar, but hey... I guess I don't remember what happened in 2005. Do you seriously think I remember things you posted 11 years ago? How pathetic are you? We weren't even on this site back then.

I said that Crabbe would get a much higher contract than most people expected, and I was right. It was much higher than even I anticipated. And yes, I'm glad we held onto him because I think he's a trade asset. I literally posted 13 quotes that went against what you've been spewing, but hey, the 4 wishy washy quotes that you found like totally prove your point. I was TOTALLY pining for him. He's clearly my favorite player on the team.

You hate me. It's cute. I get under your skin. I think it's hilarious.

link? As usual you're lashing out with nothing trying desperately to distract from your own failings. Regardless of the sport, I don't put much on the coaches as their contributions are harder to judge. I weigh in mostly on players and those in charge of personnel moves... and total hypocrite posters

lol crybaby, look in the mirror to see a guilty party. It's a whiny little loser who cries in good times and bad calling for the heads of college kids and coaches regardless of the outcome. No one likes to play with a crybaby. Lol out the constant feuds and grudges comment, again check the mirror hypocrite.

instead of posting 20 something times today inspiring no one with double-talk that you'll forget by tomorrow, why not step outside and live a life? Go for a walk or something that pumps fresh air through your system. Talk to a real live person. Give the board a little breathing room from the incessant flow of BS you feel such a need to share in every single thread. We'll be just fine.

Their bantering was entertaining for all of two minutes. Then it became "meh" like part of the thread title. :blahblah:

Perhaps this is true. 4 years/$70 might look different as time goes by. But it's hard to imagine it will ever be seen as a "favorable" contract. Eric Gordon and his 4 year/$53, now THAT looks like a steal. Harden in playing at/near MVP level, but he's not doing it by himself. Gordon gives them a second elite playmaker and shooter, which is why their offense is top notch and they are winning. We had hopes that our salary cap room last summer would bring us that type of difference maker, and we got ET instead. Of course Gordon's injury history made him a risk, but it looks like a great move to date. Don't think I'll ever feel that way about ET.
