jetblack is from Happy Valley.

I wonder what the hell ever happened to that guy? Last I heard he had moved to Utah to live with his sister who was going to BYU. It was his goal to find a nice Mormon girl. I figured it was just a matter of time until there was a mass shooting at BYU.

Thank you for not saying the name a second time lest he appear.

I like our odds that he'll be featured in one of these headlines some day.

Iv'e eaten there so many times. Thats crazy.

And now a story is coming out about a guy trying (and failing) to set someone on fire at the Clackamas Town Center theater this past weekend. You have to think it's probably the same dude. I tend to agree with @HAAK72 thinking that it sounds like a gang initiation.

Truly despicable.

Suspect in Denny’s fire attack in custody

CLACKAMAS, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was arrested less than 24 hours after he allegedly poured gasoline on a man and set him on fire inside a Denny’s restaurant.

DeShaun James Swanger, 24, was taken into custody Thursday night outside of a transitional home he was living in.

Neighbor Buck Sleight told KOIN 6 News he recognized Swanger from surveillance photos taken inside the Denny’s on SE 82nd Avenue and tipped off police.

“As soon as I knew who it was I called authorities,” Sleight said.

Another man who lives with Swanger said he saw a news report on the case and knew he was the suspect. He said he sent police a photo he took of Swanger and waited for officers to show up.

“The phone rang, it was the cops and they were trying to talk to him to come out,” the man said. “He came out, put his hands up, peaceful, put in handcuffs.”

Sounds to me like somebody acting alone who has a few screws loose/missing rather than a gang situation but I could be wrong.

I read that the police had been building a case on this person, they cited dumpster fires and other arson cases near by. Hopefully they weren't like "okay he finally burnt someone, NOW we can take him in".

Hate crime by a mentally disturbed POS with no redeeming human value. Torture would be too good for him.

No indication it is a hate crime.?? Sure.....

Where else to target an old white man other than Dennys? A fishing spot? The Moose Lodge or whatever they call those clubs old white guys go to?

No easier place on Earth to find an old white guy than a fucking Dennys. You all know it.

7/10 people are white in Portland. It's not hard to find them anywhere.

If someone throws gasoline you... hug them.
That works when somebody really big wants to fight...just hug them and let your weight go like a sack of potatoes...not a lot they can do then....I learned that from a WWF wrestler who was my neighbor back in the day...make them bear your weight...they get tired fast

I've met you, I could take you.
