Translation: your wife has "find my iPhone" activated on your iPhone and you need a way to go into a jack shack but still be able to make calls.
How did I manage to go for a run every morning last year without a phone or a watch? Maybe my sneakers have LTE? Seriously - I really am interested to see if there is any real application to this or if it is really a solution looking for a problem. I can understand it if the thing could project the image onto something and can recognize the input through something else (voice or touch on projected surface) - because at that point you do not really need a phone, but otherwise? Seems like a very niche need for this - but, maybe I am just not seeing it. Took me a while to convince myself that having smart-speakers connected to a smart home is something that I need - but I am still delighted every time I use them - so maybe there is something there.
I dont like to be without my phone, especially in case something happens with my kids and they need to get a hold of me. With previous Apple watches, you had to have your phone near the watch or be on WiFi to make a call and receive text messages. Now you dont. I know for me it would be convenient to only have to wear a watch if I was doing an active activity instead of having my big ass phone in my pocket or a water sport and I dont want to take the chance of getting my phone drop to the bottom of a lake/river. I know its not necessary, but a big step in getting more people to want it. It also sounds like another advantage to the watch having cellular data is for streaming music while working out etc.
The LTE radio uses less battery than bluetooth or wifi. I never saw the benefit of the Apple Watch. Never wanted one.
Correction, LTE uses more than bluetooth or wifi. That's why you want to use wifi with your phone at home.
I'm going to wait on the X. Apple was stupid for coming out with the 8. The X announcement made people wait for the X instead of buying the 8.
