Both teams will test us and I like it so I can see if Zach can continue to play like he is in defense and see if the young guys can do with better players playing against them.

No excuse to make a game thread BEFORE we know the opponent. I know it’s the offseason, but this is embarrassing.

Oooooo look, it flashes two different teams. Whatever, anybody can make the flashing things. UNLIKE!

I don’t care about collins’ shooting, especially with the mask he’s wearing. He’ll be fine there. His defense though? looks game changing.
And it's not just the blocks / verticality at the rim. His off ball and pnr positioning is almost always on point.

Always on the axis of handler and roller in pnr. Very aware of his help responsibilities on cutters / off ball screens. Reacts quickly for weak side blocks (see first blk in SL game vs Utah)...it's really remarkable to see all that so consistently from a big his age.

Added strength and discipline is also showing up in his post defense and decreased foul rate.

I've been saying it since we drafted him, but his combination of IQ, tools and mentality on defense is what makes him special. His offense was always going to be a work in progress for those that watched him closely in HS and college and understood how his skills and physical tools translated to the NBA.

Because you're wrong about him or it's worse than you thought?

After being pleasantly surprised last season, I expected him to dominate on both offense and defense in Summer League. It was premature optimism, I'm afraid.
