I think this board is the only source of Stotts haters. On Sirius, ESPN, all the media are praising him. At this point I think it's really hard to make a strong case that he is a bad coach. What is more likely?

    1) He is really pretty bad and Blazers did what nobody thought possible in October by luck, or,
    2) Stotts was a driving force behind this team's continued success in the face of curve ball after curve ball.

Option 2 seems far more likely after 82 games and over 50 wins and WCF appearance, first in ~20 years.

and on the flip side. The team kept on winning with Harkless and Aminu starting. Why can't fans acknowledge that? Last game was the only game we dug a big hole and there have been times we have jumped out to decent leads only to see the bench give it away. Despite what some might think in here, Stotts and his coaching staff have a better grip on this team than people who hang out in a forum. That doesn't mean that mistakes aren't made as all coaches make wrong decisions at times. Just a lot fewer of them by the professionals.

When you set the bar at Jack Ramsey it’s tough to find another to compare. No?

The rule is must let the player come down plus one step. That situation the defender didn't do neither bad call.

Stotts coaching these playoffs different then the regular season. In the regular season he took players out certain time even though they was hot or not. Playoffs if he has hot hand or player playing or unit playing good he rides with them.

I offered apologies for this thread in tonight's game thread. Bench was underused early. Stotts was dumb and stubborn tonight BUT our best two Blazers were dog doo doo for most of the game and Dame has been gone since basically hitting the shot to send Denver packing. Hopefully we get it figured out. Perimeter defense is bad. I think Dame had seven turnovers and i'm pretty sure all seven were passes to Golden St players.

Stotts refusal to make adjustments is so tired. He FINALLY benched Aminu in the 2nd half of Game 7 against Denver but that was so long overdue, I don't give much credit for that.

And his COMPLETE lack of adjustment to the PnR game of Curry is inexcusable. It's like he had no idea that Curry could shoot. #SoLame

So...... bashing Stotts is okay here then? I don't want to ruin your thread.

Does @BonesJones need to bump his Fire Terry thread?(Or whatever the hell it's called. I can't find the damn thing!)
